Maybe if the Philippines is found somewhere else like South America or Africa, we won't recieve the same criticism. Unfortunately we are located in SEA, where we are THE underperforming country in the region.

The Philippines is a flunking student mistakenly placed in an Honors class.

Most of our neighbors have achieved First World standards of living. Ang Pilipinas baliktad, the masa Pinoy gets poorer and poorer every year.......Pero nakatawa pa rin.

    ignorance is bliss

good thing about having large poor population -- it keep cost of living low

so if you're making well above minimum, life is pretty comfortable here

Not mistakenly. Yung nangyari sa atin is we were busy skipping classes and screwing around. Ngayon we are enjoying the fruits of our truancy.

Actually the Philippines was the honor student in the regular class decades ago.

Just that we have become the flunking student in the regular class today.

No one to blame but ourselves. Just shows the Filipino people are not ready to claim their own independence from any colonizing country.

and iba talaga mag isip ang karamihan ng pinoy

    iba ang wavelength

yung phrase na -- not on the same page -- often applies to communications breakdown between educated and uneducated pinoys

you can't expect them to talk to you on your level

you gotta learn how they think and talk to them on their level

very often you see that communications breakdown in management and labor

So what? Most of the foreigners don't wash downstairs, their clothes are wash and wear etc etc

I'd rather be looked down by those monkeys than smell bad every single day of my life

Being of mixed blood, I get pissed either way. I've seen a lot of xenophobia and racism locally, and have been on the receiving end of it at times. And I've seen a lot of anti-Pinoy sentiment abroad.

Personally... I just shrug it off. If people are immature enough to sling mud in your direction, that just means they're wallowing in it.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

basta we should always try our best...

pero etong si tiffany, pag nakatikim nang isa sa mga tsikoteers yan palagay ko magbabago tingin niya sa mga pinoy...

the poor has no reason to be angry against the rich. kung tutuusin may advantage pa din ang poor, by eating just about right, they live healthier lives and they look better too. the only reason why the poor is in the losing end is bec. they envy what the rich have. of course this is natural but don't overdo it to the point na they'll believe their lives are useless. BEC IT'S NOT!

the secret to survival is harmony between mind and body.

the poor has the body but neglects the power of his mind.

the rich has the mind but abuses his body.

the winner is the one who can balance both.
