Yes. I could never forget that because I had one birthday party (October) where nobody showed up at my house because of the typhoon. Back then my cousins from my Dad's side lived in the same village but it was that strong na 0 showed up. I was so disappointed but I understood.

Afternoon and evening thunderstorms in the area. This was earlier while I was following my eldest kid after she picked up her mom's car (flat tire fixed). I had to follow her because she forgot to bring the car registration and insurance card.

Another sunny day. I think the monsoon season is just about over. I had to bring the wife's car to the dealer for maintenance.

Those planes are slated to be scrapped. That whole lot used to have F-14 Tomcats. Apparently, the latter have all been scrapped and now replaced by P-3 Orion antisubmarine aircraft.

Nope. That's in the Lassen Peak area. There's an active volcano there. So, I stay away. The closest I hiked is adjacent to that area though.

I hiked around the Tahoe National Forest. I hiked there twice. On my 3rd outing, I saw a fricking bear. After that, I quit exploring the mountains except where it's very near civilization.

Now that I've had time to recall stuff from long ago...... My (3-day) weekend hikes at Tahoe National Forest were part of the Pacific Crest Trail.... I think. If they are, that would also make my hike at Crater Lake (Oregon) part of the Pacific Crest Trail.

It's probably why I still travel light (like on my trips to Japan and the PH). Just a legacy from my younger days. I live on a back pack like a hippie.
