MARIKINA RIVER IS NOW AT FIRST ALARM⚠️

Umabot nasa 15 metro ang lebel ng tubig sa Marikina River kaninang 5:26 PM at patuloy ang mabilis nitong pagtaas. #FalconPH #habagat

Inaabisuhan ang lahat na manatiling alero!

This was explained by PAGASA during the entrance of Betty, when the water crisis was developing and people were praying for rain. The typhoon will bring about and intensify the southwest monsoon/Habagat and bring in the rains.

La Mesa Dam may overflow. Those along Tullahan River may need to evacuate.

In just the past 12 hours, almost all of our monitored stations in Metro Manila already received more than 50 mm of rainfall and more are expected due to the #habagat being enhanced by #FalconPH.

⚠️Flooding is likely in flood-prone areas.

Angat Dam is Metro Manila source of water. Right now it's already above dam's operating rule curve. So the water supply may last until the next year's rainy season. The problem will be next rainy season may be delayed by El Nino.

From overflow level, how many months of no rain before it reaches critical level?

GLOOMY SKIES ACROSS LUZON AND VISAYAS☁️

Must be a pain to pump out rain water ... Moses would probably commiserate considering the anxiety he underwent when he parted the red sea [emoji28]

Middle two spans got swept away by the flood.

There's already a newer bridge with higher elevation running parallel to the old Quirino bridge, but sad to see the historic structure go down like that.

BTT: I'm glad it didn't rain today. Sana tuloy tuloy na.
