IMO - the stakes are higher than just that.

    Try choosing between:

    1. Focusing on improving our economy.
    2. Drag our country into another no-holds barred political shootout.

    nope i disagree.

focusing on improving the economy is the function (in part) of the president, not necessarily of gloria. the issue is cheating, whether she did or she did not. how can she excuse herself of her alleged crime by saying that she will work on the economy? if she goes, her successor will carry on "fixing the economy".

there are economic consequences to this political drama, true, but GMA knows very well why -- "if I run for president, I will cause deep division in our country". yet she did, and now she reaps what she has sown.

Ummm... when I said "focusing on improving our economy" - am referring to whole nation (not just GMA).

And if the impeachment proceeding did push through - what evidence will you use in the said court? I've been asking this question around the forums for a long time and yet no one has answered it yet. If so, the dismissal of the impeachment complaint due to lack of substance is justifiable after all.

So in the end, the majority has spoken:

CONGRESS: No Impeachment by 158-51 decision.

TAONG BAYAN: Rallies have been relatively few. No People Power this time.

Democracy means following the majority decision.

hehe... maybe ask the pro-impeachment congressmen. for sure they have an answer to your question. ;)

that is because there is no solid evidence provided so far! the justice committee is tasked to screen out complaints that are baseless (like this wiretapping issue).

and as I've said - even if we pushed through with the impeachment proceedings - what evidence will you use?

Ang ibig sabihin: "Bring the evidence to congress"..... not to the media and the streets.

Hindi pinigilan, mahina lang ang ebidensya. Kaya nga lacking in substance. Siguro naman nakinig ka dun sa mga speech nung mga congressmen explaining their votes. Intindihin mo muna yung reason na sinabi nila, bago mo i-conclude na pinigilan.

i watched ANC last night... the justice committee did some QUESTIONABLE process in the committee report. (can't explain one-by-one, i listened to their speeches/ debates... and still, walang nagbago sa paniniwala ko. i believe that gma is guilty)

    evidence? secret. :D

mas maganda nga yan eh... payagan nilang ituloy, tapos kapag nakitang puro kasinungalingan pala yang mga ipinaglalaban ng oposisyon eh di lalabas sila na kahiya-hiya. which an advantage of the administration. baka pati ako maging pro-gma na rin. hehe (asa pa )
