The silent majority is silent because they know the current protests are not worth their time. Sino ipapalit kay Gloria? They're calling for a transition/revolutionary government in her place. Then? The pro-Erap camp will want either Susan to become president (ala Cory) or bring back Erap into the picture. Which won't sit well with Ping Lacson who's also there, since he has his own presidential ambitions (never mind Eddie Villanueva). And then you have the Left, who will waste no time in peddling the virtues of a communist regime in place of a presidential one. Now, who in their right minds would want to risk the country's future with such a circus?

They want a revolution, but all they have are the makings of a sitcom.

    nope. they are the same.

what didn't transpire is the impeachment trial. but the submisssion of the complaint & voting of the Lower House to adopt/contradict the Justice Committee's resolution / articles of impeachment is already an impeachment proceeding.

well, that's my interpretation anyway (and theirs too).

And they are willing to absorb all of these calamities in exchange for the TRUTH ????? The truth whether GMA cheated or not ???? I can say that the opposition is NOT prepared to handle the TRUTH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If they did, this impeachment would have prospered.

Indeed, because in all likelihood, they will see themselves as part of that truth. And the country will never forgive them as well.

people power only good on the first time, pero kung uulit-ulitin, parang nde na pinaghihirapan.

pero what's new d'ba? history na natin to take for granted freedom/democracy natin kasi lagi naman madali to get it:

in Spanish Era, the Americans liberated us.
in Japanese Occupation Era, the Americans again liberated us.
in FM Dictatorship Era, People Power 1 -> bloodless
in Erap Gambling Era, People Power 2 -> bloodless

am just wondering if we experience what other countries have experienced, yung
reduced to ashes yun mga cities like in Beirut, Bosnia, some countries in Africa and
yun bloody revolution sa mga South America ...

would we take our hard-earned democracy for granted knowing that we've lost so much ...

kaya malakas ang loob ng mga nanggulo kasi sanay naman sila sa bloodless or madali, they are willing to push all of us to the edge ...

At least back in EDSA 2, even the motorists AND the business community were expressing their support with the rallyists' cause.

What would you expect from a "united" opposition that doesn't even have a clear idea of who/what to replace the existing government with? Chaos, plain and simple. Just one look at the protagonists is enough to make you stop. The Left wingers AND the Marcoses on the same side, with the only thing binding their shaky and laughable alliance is a supposedly common enemy? If they finally manage to get their wish and send Mrs. Arroyo packing from Malacañang, I would absolutely love to see their faces as they face the next most important question: "Now what?"

That's definitely one for the books.
I think their cause is to purge the thruth nandaya ba o hindi plain and simple. Kung nandaya at napatunayan then yah who would be sitting as preesident pero kung di naman nandaya eh di sya pa rin ang presidente ang importante me closure.

Comparing it to Edsa 2 eh malayo sa isat isa and besides ano ba napatunayan ng Edsa 2 hanggang ngayon nililitis pa si ERAP at lahat ng sinabi ni Chavit napatunayan na isang halaw sa malikot na pag iisip.

There's no "critical mass" for the anti-Arroyo movements not because people like Gloria... (She is indeed a detestable creature).

It's because many of the people who want to lead the anti-Arroyo are selfish crooks (the biggest one being Erap Velarde and families). Those who pretend that Erap Velarde is not a crook are deluding themselves. I would actively support ousting Arroyo as long as Erap Velarde is sent to jail forever.

So tumahimik na lang sana ang mga pamilya ng mga mandarambong na iyan (si JV Velarde, Jinggoy Velarde at Loi Velarde). Wala silang karapatan dahil pamilya ng mandarambong sila!

If it's closure they want, then they have to provide it where their respective issues are concerned.

    - The Marcoses have yet to disclose the entire truth on Martial Law, including who was responsible for turning Cory Aquino into a widow, and the unsolved cases of the desaparecidos.

    - The Leftist movement has yet to come forward with full details on the infamous Kampanyang Ahos / Oplan Kadena de Amor / Oplan Missing Link / Oplan Olympia witch hunt, a widespread purging of the communist party amid reports of infiltration by military deep penetration agents (DPAs). This atrocity saw innocent communist cadres being interrogated, put to trial and ultimately executed by their own comrades, on baseless accusations that they were military spies. A haunting example of party paranoia.

    - 'Mr. Clean' Ping Lacson has yet to be truthful regarding the Kuratong Baleleng rubout case, the money laundering charges against him, and the disappearance and eventual killing of PR man Salvador 'Bubby' Dacer and his driver Emmanuel Corbito.

    - The Estradas have yet to come clean regarding charges of plunder against their patriarch and ousted president. Their various delaying tactics are slowing down efforts by the Sandiganbayan to resolve the case in the soonest possible time.

You want closure? You want the truth? THESE PEOPLE owe us THE TRUTH, way before Gloria Macapagal Arroyo ever did.

THESE PEOPLE have FAR WORSE SINS to confess, and be SORRY for.

wala nga. wala napatunayan ang EDSA Dos ... or even EDSA 1 for that matter kaya tigilan na natin ito.

Have we not learned in the case of Erap, kalagitnaan ng impeachment nag Edsa asan ang closure doon. Okey nililitis sya ngayon, pero matapos syang paalisin, asan ngayon ang pinas BIYAK.

anyways yes I want the thruth about arroyo don't we all?

Well its inevitable pinatay ang impeachment eh, and besides administration bloc/congressman was already warned by the opposition na dadalhin sa kalye ang kaso pagka pinatay ang impeachment. If it happens hopefully walang dugong dumanak at matapos agad.

the plain & simple truth, all popular figures have skeletons in their closet, regardless kung President or opposition or Cardinal or Celebs.

if you can't work or function properly at the office or at school or at home coz you need to know the truth first about GMA, then I suggest you relax first, maybe you're just becoming too anxious.

not all people want to know the truth. in fact some people believe in the saying: "ignorance is bliss."

Based from survey, 8 out of 10 in Metro Manila and 7 out of 10 outside Metro Manila wants the truth and yet most of the Congressmen voted "Yes" to kill the impeachment.

Kaya nga hindi tumakas si Erap to face these charges even the confessions came from the ever righteous man Chavit Singson

come to think of it, talagang expert sa pagpatay ng mga 'proceedings' ang mga GMA boys. first yung impeachment ni erap, now yung sa impeachment ni GMA.

If there is something to be learned from the case of Erap, it is NEVER RESIGN just because there is a huge rally at the Edsa Monument. The voices of the silent majority during the EDSA DOS was never heard. And that's the tragedy of rallies and street justice.

If Erap's impeachment was allowed to go through without the theatrics of the opposition, Erap would have been in power until now.

GMA cannot allow herself to be victimized by her own medicine, right?
