That's EXACTLY the point. Sabi nga dun sa headline ng Inquirer: "Just 6 votes shy to impeach".

That's the point mbt, just 6 votes shy .... and the entire circus ends here. Comply with the requirement, and the circus ends. Let the impeachment begin. There is always haggling of votes in Congress, it's partisan politics, you cannot simply ignore it while you are "seeking for the truth".

Allegations, bribing, intimidation, arm-wrenching, what-have-you.... these are noises that will NEVER go away.... there is only one fact that remains: COME UP WITH 79 SIGNATURES AND THE DRAMA ENDS. IMPEACHMENT BEGINS. IT'S THAT SIMPLE.

I just hope "they" are still doing what the people have elected them hope they should be doing. Baka naman lahat sila e tutok na tutok sa impeachment, kinalimutan na trabaho nila. :-( sad.

when they tried to impeach Davide ,the offer was 5 million per signature. I wonder whats the cost this time. Much larger i guess. Probably enough to defray some of the cost for the next election of a congressman.Especially since their is no jueteng money except those that they get from their projects nowadays.

    okay thanks oldblue and boyferrari.

the reason i ask is simply to try to illustrate my point that truth is relative. what you may believe in is hardly absolute fact.

now i am not judging your answers to the questions i asked okay, but just for the sake of argument, when you say you believe in God (and of course, that God exists), it is not an absolute fact. it is an allegation... you are alleging that God exists.

when you say you think that the opposition lawmakers are acting and dramatizing, it is not an absolute fact. it is an allegation... you are alleging that they are acting and dramatizing.

when you say that you think FPJ ran at the lat minute, it is not an absolute fact. it is an allegation... you are alleging that "napasubo lang si FPJ".

i can easily say that if you "believe these and keep on repeating them to yourself", then "they become truths". and really, there's nothing wrong with that, since truth is our belief, the end process of how our cognition has received and evaluated the loads of information available to our senses.

    so with that in mind...
oh boy sir *mbt namangha ako sa sinabi mo, right now nagkaron lang ako ng interest ng mga Plato, Aristotle logic/reasoning/theory of forms etc ... para kang si Aristotle
    magsalita

kaya pala myth of Atlantis lang na-absorb ko, kasi sci fi hehehe

    Literally yes we can
My only point here is "sobrang garapalan" ang nangyayari para lang manatili sa pwesto. If you don't see that, then that's fine, but if you do, then don't you feel any disgusts?

It's sad that a lot of people seem to accept things as they are. Since government has always been corrupt and politicians will forever be the same, then let's just accept it as it is? That's pathetic!

Mga pards, kapag sinabi kong "go around the mountain", what I meant was don't go head-to-head with the issue. Wag mong kalabanin ng mano-mano. Be a chess player. Defeat the enemy on his own game so that you can achieve your objective without necessarily changing the rules or the playing field.

Hindi nga pwede, dahil the technical requirement is 79. Not 78.

mahihirapan talaga silang makakuha ng 79 signatures. there's "alleged" bribery left and right, to those who already signed to withdraw and to those who intend to sign to do otherwise.

and before all of us forget, GMA have publicly admitted in national television of calling a comelec official during election period. although she did not mention that it was garcillano she was talking to, the mere fact that she apologized for her action means she really did something wrong. isn't this enough a ground for impeachment?

hindi daw pare eh. we have to follow daw the rule of law. sabi nga ni gma, bring your case to the proper forum (congress, impeachment). pero yung majority na kaalyado nya, ayaw pumayag magkaroon ng trial. justice committee pa lang, harang na. and we just have to accept that because that's the rule of law. galing!
