GMA already said that she did not cheat, so in a way, she has answered the allegations already. But despite that answer from GMA, the opposition does not believe her because they only want to hear what they want to hear. And they will not stop and be satisfied until she says so.

And finally, remember that impeachment will cost the government millions of pesos, not to mention many bills in congress will be derailed as a result. That is why they are trying to avoid an impeachment if the numbers are not there. That's exactly the reason why the consititution requires a certain number to be reached before an impeachment can take place. You have to follow what the law requires. It's not just a simple "tell-us-the-truth" questioning.

Arroyo became president when Erap resigned, as validated by the Supreme Court.

Why did Erap resigned? Because he was pressured by the allegations against him and because his cabinet, police, and military abandoned him.

That's EXACTLY THE SAME tactic the opposition is doing to GMA now: throw all allegations, make the cabinet resign (a.k.a. Hyatt 10), stage a dramatic walkout (make sure you throw papers in the air while walking out), incite people to rally in the streets.

GMA says she will not resign. The thing with Erap: he resigned. That's the difference.
Well said boyferrari! I'm not pro-GMA, but the law is the law. If these politicians will simply walk out and throw the papers in air... there goes your vote.

Ang bilis nila magka-interes sa impeachment, ganun din sila kabilis sumuko.
