impeachment is now at senate hearing stage:
gloria called to testify..
while she is seated sa "hot seat"..
tatanungin siya ng senator judge.."mrs. gloria..did you talk to garci?" (you can put your own question also..)
si gloria naman biglang tumuro sa may gallery.."Ano yun?" siyempre mga pinoy silang lahat, all the people inside the hall would look to the direction where gloria pointed trying to find what was she pointing at..
sabay TAKBO si Gloria..(insert scooby doo getaway sound effect..)
yan ang laugh trip wala talagang masasabi pinoy big brother dyan!
This is just an "allegation" that nobody has proven yet. However, you mentioned it here as if Lozano was already proven to be a GMA ALLY. If you keep repeating this in this manner, then this becomes the truth in other people's minds, especially those who are clueless on who Lozano is.Quote:

This is a political maneuver and strategy that is a common practice in any trial law cases. Lawyers will always look for ways to win their case. You should not look so surprised. Again, using the word "GMA" makes it appear that it is GMA alone who is dictating the legal maneuvers. Remember, more often than not, GMA takes advice from her battery of lawyers just like any client would. This is a team effort between her attorneys and her party-mates. However, your invoking the name "GMA" alone, instead of "the administration", shows that you want to emphasize it for the people to really hate GMA herself.Quote:

This is another allegation, that if you keep repeating it, it becomes the truth. This is politics, the "dirty dealings" have not changed since Manuel Quezon's Commonwealth. Why do you expect it to change now? You don't have to act so surprised as if bribing in congress has never happened before. Again, all the bribing issues that came up related to this impeachment have remained allegations up to this day. Where are the evidences of bribing? Anyway, we are all entitled to believe what we want to believe, right?Quote:

Again, another insinuation to fuel the conspiracy theories. It has been a government policy to declare Monday as non-working holiday if the actual holiday falls on a Sunday. You know that this is a government standard practice. Why do you think it is suspicious now? This year, National Heroes Day fell on a Sunday. So what gives?Quote:

Again, you are making it appear that GMA is blocking the impeachment herself. The requirement for impeachment is simple: gather 79 votes to impeach the president. Now where are the 79 votes ????? We cannot wait forever to try and convince everyone to sign up. There must be a time limit for signing-up. And that time is up!Quote:

None of the 5 items you mentioned above are really facts. They are all premises. We want to know the truth, but there are legal procedures to follow in order to find the truth. We have to follow them and not walk-out or throw papers in the air for theatrics.
note to BoyFerrari, i accidentally hit "edit" instead of "quote", sorry about that, nothing's been changed in your post -mbt

one more thing Mr. BoyFerrari, if all these things against GMA are only "allegations", then i guess she really should not be there in the presidency as everything that her allies said about erap were also all just "allegations".

The proimpeachment politicians are as rotten as the antiimpeachment. None of them are saints so none of them can claim to be morally righteous enough to lead the country. Wala talagang pagasa ang pinas.
Some people may see it as just pure allegations, but the way I look at it, it's all a ploy.
We can all say that change should start from us, but isn't it already happening? Just look here in Tsikot, I can see that most people here are intelligent and ready for change, but how can we achieve change if our lawmakers are the ones prostituting our law for their own self interest?
Change can only be achieved if our law can be implemented without prejudice.
Perhaps not all pre. One example Padaca vs DY of Isabela?Originally Posted by rbortega1981

I am bothered, but I generally no longer care. There is nothing I can do anyway. The opposition and the administration, they are all the same. All politicians are liars and cheaters. It is our fate to suffer. Anyway, I have more pressing concerns: how to survive day to day, and all these politics doesn’t help make life easier for me!
This reaction I equate to someone wishing to fall asleep in the hope that when he wakes up the bad dream or the big problem is gone.

yep, kinda irritating to watch them congressmen waste OUR money and TIME. .
The 79-signature requirement is there to make sure that there are enough people who believe that the allegations are valid and have substance worthy enough to spend millions of pesos and derail many pending bills in congress just to hold an impeachment trial.Originally Posted by boybi
GMA already said that she did not cheat, so in a way, she has answered the allegations already. But despite that answer from GMA, the opposition does not believe her because they only want to hear what they want to hear. And they will not stop and be satisfied until she says so.Originally Posted by boybi
And finally, remember that impeachment will cost the government millions of pesos, not to mention many bills in congress will be derailed as a result. That is why they are trying to avoid an impeachment if the numbers are not there. That's exactly the reason why the consititution requires a certain number to be reached before an impeachment can take place. You have to follow what the law requires. It's not just a simple "tell-us-the-truth" questioning.
Arroyo became president when Erap resigned, as validated by the Supreme Court.Originally Posted by boybi

That's EXACTLY THE SAME tactic the opposition is doing to GMA now: throw all allegations, make the cabinet resign (a.k.a. Hyatt 10), stage a dramatic walkout (make sure you throw papers in the air while walking out), incite people to rally in the streets.
GMA says she will not resign. The thing with Erap: he resigned. That's the difference.
National Heroes Day always fall on the last Sunday of August (RA 3827). Last year and the year before that, the Monday after that was not declared a holiday.Originally Posted by BoyFerrari

what more can we gain from an impeachment trial? heck, those congressional hearings (tape & jueteng) already tried to roast GMA but there is still no strong evidence to back it all up.Originally Posted by boybi

Yes given na yung dirty politics. Kahit saan naman ganun di ba? Sobrang garapal lang talaga dito. So ano gawin natin kung sa tingin mo hindi na mababago? Hayaan na lang?Originally Posted by BoyFerrari

i am also not proGMA but masyadong OA ang mga luminaries sa impeachment. you should have seen the interview of Rep. T. Locsin on ANC by D.Celdran and K. constantino. Rep. Locsin comment on this one is very much correct. he thinks that the walkout groups timing is not right.
