Mga kasama, mga Kapanalig, ang ating Senador Jinggoy Ejercito Estrada po ay nasa ating bansa na at pagkadating niya noong linggo, Nobyembre 17, siya ay tumungo agad sa Ormoc City para mamahagi ng mga tulong sa kababayan nating biktima ng super bagyong yolanda.

Lingid sa kaalaman ng marami, (dahil nga hindi mahilig sa publisidad itong Anak ng Masa) kahit po nasa Amerika si Senador Jinggoy Estrada, siya po ay nagpadala na ng mga tulong sa Tacloban at iba pang lugar sa Visayas na sinalanta ng bagyo. Nandoon ng ilang araw ang mga staff niya sa senado.

At noong linggo nga, sa halip na magpahinga agad, siya po tumungo sa Ormoc, 4:30am dumating at 8:30am nagpunta na sya sa Ormoc City.

Sabi nga ni Senador Jinggoy, paano sya makakapagpahinga ng maayos kung ang mga kababayan natin sa Visayas ay wala nga makain, kaya minabuti niyang personal na tumungo at mamahagi ng mga pagkain at iba pang pangunahing pangangailangan doon. Tsaka inalam niya ang mga dapat pang ibigay na tulong sa kanila.

Ganyan po ka-sensiro si Senador Jinggoy sa paglilingkod sa masang pilipino.

Walang makakatinag sa pagmamahal ni Senador Jinggoy Ejercito Estrada sa mahihirap, sabi nga sa kasabihan, hindi kayang pabagsakin ang taong may malinis na hangarin!

Ipagpatuloy po natin ang pagdarasal sa mga biktima ng bagyo at wag po tayong magsawa na sila ay tulungan!

Mabuhay ang Masang Pilipino!

A buddy of mine volunteered to join one of the local car group's convoy for relief to Tacloban. Being hard-core cars guys with Ondoy car rehab experience, they'll also work on getting disabled vehicles running to aid in relief and mobilization efforts. To sweeten things for him, he was looking for a second spare tyre for his pickup (just for the trip) and someone gave him a free set of new tyres to boot. Pay it forward indeed.

Tomorrow, we'll be helping out at Villamor as part of our office work. The company i work for will be concentrating its relief and rebuilding efforts more in the Panay area as well as this place is not as publicized as Samar-Leyte and we have the assets in the said area to do so.

ako nung una di ako na niniwala na 10k ang casualty sabi ko impossible yon at mas naniniwala ako don sa 2.5k kaso ngayon sa tagal ng relief goods at rescue dumating sigurado bukod don sa initial na 2.5k estimate nila na namatay nung araw na dumating talaga si yolanda madami pa mamamatay sa gutom at sakit na aabutin nila. baka nga lumagpas pa ng 10k kung di bibilis ang rescue at relief operation nila.

Regardless of what the final tally is, imho mali talaga yung police general in coming up with that figure, right there and then.

Did he do a survey in Tacloban to come up with that number? Is he psychically linked to each and every man in Tacloban, such that he felt each one die and did a count in his head?

i think he went into despair after seeing what happened, then blurted out that figure. Kind of like how we can get sometimes pag talagang depressed tayo. But regardless, that was a subjective figure that he gave.

Regardless of what he thought or felt, tingin ko dapat hindi na lang siya nagsalita at that time. Kaya siguro nainis si P-Noy. Maybe he thinks the figure is really that high, pero you have no business saying that right then and there.


But hey, if it were me, malamang matulala na lang ako.

Or he could have just said they will verify the numbers and not make any pronouncements without gathering information first.

Standard naman yan, if you don't have any answer you can tell people you don't have the answer now and you go back to them with the information later on after you verify.

Unless media really insisted for him to give a figure, that's usually the line of questioning they have and na-pressure lang sya.
