Bayaw ko ay affected nang Yolanda. Sira 75% ang bahay nila good thing is ligtas lahat nang mga anak nya pati asawa.

Boracay sila.

Good thing na ligtas sila.

Im in cebu last week, dapat saturday (november 9) pa balik ko. Im buying pasalubong sa grocery langya andami tao akala mo end of the world ba kinabukasan.

Pagbalik ng hotel rebook agad ako, took the last flight ng thursday night.

I've been to tacloban due to work, i remember the places and met many colleagues and made friends na din.

Nag donate muna ako money and old clothes for our officemates sa tacloban. Our office is looking for volunteers na papapuntahin dun sadly im not up for that. They also cancelled the corporate christmas party all funds will be donated.

I don't know kung sablay ba ang gobyerno natin or hindi.

From the very start I knew that it was going to be a big one. My officemates and I were tracking it thru USN Weather and Japan Weather. Both of these agencies are always (not all the time though) correct with their weather forecasts. I was very wound up last week, prepared almost everything there is sa bahay, food, emergency lights, gen set fuel, flashlight batteries, etc. Cars were started and checked, baka bumaha na naman.

When the storm distanced itself from NCR, I was able to let my guard down a bit. But whole night Friday and early morning Saturday, I was keeping vigil. Malakas ang hangin sa Cavite.

Thank God it was only wind and sporadic rain. If Yolanda barreled thru NCR, I think it will be a different story.

    Correct.

Personally, I'm at a loss now at the huge tasks involved for the post Yolanda scenario. I believe that despite the initial hurdles in delivering much needed reflief and recovery operations, we will soon have a more organized effort as communications and transportation facilities are restored. I believe that the loss of lives and properties and the trauma it left behind will NOT BE IN VAIN. I also believe that good and responsive local, national, and international policies will be formulated and implemented. That resources, natural, and capital, will be channeled properly to life enriching mechanisms, programs, and governance.

Yes people are desperate, hungry and dying. But for sure our government is doing the best they can. Im very hopeful May plano yan, may sistema. Everything will settle on its place din.
