You're seriously taking LGU who are responsible for evacuating the people bobo or not out of the equation.

No excuses for LGU's incompetence. Romualdez is the best example of that.

exactly and they lived thru many typhoons and they think it's just another typhoon they'll live thru

    piece of cake

Anong pop culture and masses. The local government unit from Barangay level to the Governor handles the evacuation not the masses. Self evacuation tong pinag pipilitan mo, which will never happen given sa tigas ng ulo ng mga pinoy.

and i think that is where PNoy's frustration is coming from.

i remember Ted Failon's radio program a day or two before Yolanda's landfall... i remember him discussing the strength of this typhoon. The program was even hooked up sa Samar local station and together with the local announcer in samar, they were discussing in their dialect about how strong Yolanda is. And what should they do in preparation... Bottomline, BOBO talaga si Romualdez.

The same holds true here in manila.

i bet no LGU used the word tsunami

Yes that's a brilliant move by Mayor Javier. 89,000 constituents nya if my memory serves me right but with at least 3 reported deaths lang.

Sa Tacloban pa nangaling yang 10,000 estimated deaths. Ang galing no?

Nabasa ko lang ito sa mga comments:

"This is disturbing I just heard from one of my family member that is volunteering in Roxas City that the official in there town confiscate expensive relief goods and only package cheap relief goods to give to the people. If this is true this is so wrong because this relief goods are donated from around the world to give to the poor and shame on this greedy officials. I am not trying to steer up any controversy but if this is going on in that town this should be investigated since other town that are affected by the typhoon don't have the same publicity does Tacloban city have. I just hope none of the official in philippines are abusing there power and are actually helping our kabayan God bless the philippines."

Walang gusto umamin.
