BIR won’t impose tax on relief goods if coursed through gov’t agencies

How does that work? So kelangan pang magpa accredit ang UK, US, Japanese govts. sa DSWD/NDRRMC?

So let's say the entity is *not* accredited, or doesn't go through the NDRRMC/DSWD -- they donate US$1m, so US$880k lang mapupunta sa victims, and the BIR gets US$120k? How and from whom will they get the US$120k?

How about the first respondents? Do they get taxed as well? So let's say they donate canned goods, how does the taxation work?

Can the NDRRMC/DSWD handle the paperwork/auditing that comes with that?

And why are we talking about VAT in the first place? There is no sale that takes place, kaya nga donation ang tawag dun.

Anderson Cooper's criticism may have saved lives. It probably prevented further loss of lives. 88-year-old man dies in Leyte while waiting for aid And probably helped the government to speed up its relief efforts. I can probably understand the difficulty in reaching the remote areas. But, what i can't justify is why were there still people begging for food and water amid the stench of decomposing bodies, around the Tacloban airport area, even after 5 days. At least naman siguro sa area kung saan lumalapag ang mga relief goods and supposedly nanduoon ang command center e mayron man lang semblance of organization. Ni walang feeding centers set up man lang at least sa tacloban airport area. At meron din akong nabasa na government helicopter pilot who decided to land his chopper in a remote area loaded with relief goods without awaiting orders.https://www.facebook.com/filipinosab...00247329988511 So kaya naman e. Mahina lang sa organization and implementation ang government. And besides inamin na rin naman ng government na may pagkukulang sila. Gov't admits lapses in 'Yolanda' response | ABS-CBN News

    German Embassy Manila

The water purification systems of the Federal Agency for Technical Relief (Technisches Hilfswerk or THW) have arrived at their tentative destination in Bogo, northern Cebu. The equipment will provide water supply for the people affected by typhoon Yolanda. Up to 6,000l of water can be produced per hour. In addition, an assessment team of the THW also plans to take up operations on the island of Bantayan, near Cebu island. Check the THW Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/thw.de for their latest activities in the Philippines (in German language)

Tingnan mo yung photo sa taas at intindihin mo lang. Volunteers and National Government work around the clock, heck even MMDA with their head Tolentino are clearing the roads with the little equipment they got void of any media fanfare. Hindi katwiran at dahilan yan, yan ang reality. Hindi uso ang himala dito tulad ng gustong mag yari ng mga keyboard experts.

Ilang araw ng kumikilos ang bayan. These people are tirelessly working to lift the suffering of the devastated people in several regions around the clock.
