Thinking of migrating? or already a migrant?

You are right there are several threads... lately napag-isip-isip ko kung bakit gusto ko pa ring bumalik kahit na nandito na ako.

Buhay pa kasi ang magulang ko. And they have maybe 10-15 years to live. And they are still in the Philippines. They can visit, but no more than 6 months. I would like to spend time with them, and for my daughter to get to know them as well, while they're still alive. When they're gone, they're gone forever. After that, we will see.

The other reasons are: 1) other family; 2) friends (who are like family as well); 3) property.

I am away on temporary work permit with my wife and daughter. I am here because I haven't tried it. The money was secondary. As always, plans change. Nothing is etched in stone. Ask me again in 5 years. And yes I still pray someday the Philippines will be a great country, but some things are just beyond your control.
