Avoid using the App for security if you don't really do that much transactions. In my case, transactions to 3rd party accounts are blocked. You can request BPI to block 3rd party transactions.

kundi ung tiga globe mismo..
10000000000%%%%
I still don't buy this hacker crap at least for this instance. I still think the supposedly hacker got info from someone inside globe or at least from their customer service.
Let's be clear that the main thing here is the phishing/pharming Scam (where the criminal get access to your username and password for internet banking). Walang kinalaman ang mga telcos dito (the phishing/pharming attack is usually web-dependent; not in the mobile app).
With the 2-Factor Authentication, access to/transaction in your bank account is protected not only by "the username and password for internet banking" but also by "the OTP or One Time Password being sent to mobile number".
Now the question is, will your bank return the money stolen by the criminal from your account?
Di nila ibabalik yan bro, kasi technically ikaw yun gumawa ng transaction.
Over the phone phising ba naman ang mga loko. Nakatulong din siguro na nag trabaho ako sa microsoft security dati kaya may idea ako sa mga modus nila, plus i frequently read tipidpc.com criminal modus and credit card questions thread.
Na-experience ko din yang over-the-phone na yan, sabi nung tumawag.. from mastercard daw sya at yung card number ko is qualified makatanggap ng package dahil anniversary nila (which is true) at kelangan ko lang ibigay daw yung 3-digit number sa likod ng card ko para maverify kung pang ilang 'batch' ako (which is a lie).
OT: Sino ka sa TipidPC? Ako si ITX_MINI (old account ko is JJJ2009)
DOUBLE SWIPING, which is done so quickly that you might not even notice it. This extra swipe of your credit card by some merchants compromises your personal data and breaches data protection laws.
The second quick swipe of consumers' credit cards is typically done after credit-card transactions have been approved. Merchants do this to record the mode of payment for accounting purposes and to collect cardholders' personal data for marketing purposes such as loyalty programmes. Even though banks have been telling retailers to stop doing this as the practice exposes consumers' personal data to security risks, many retailers have not stopped.
