it's more of a completion of the old testament. god's promise land include the whole of palestine, and parts of Egypt, jordan, iraq, saudi arabia. but this is just one view.

a more realisitic and truthful view is US domination of oil producing nations in the middle east via Israel.

as one friend of mine said, the only solution to the middle east crisis is

    1. an agreement between Israel and palestine

    2. End US and UK interference on affairs of independent nations.

But, don't forget our pinoy brothers/sisters that are being purged from Lebanon by their onslaught. Hope they'll be rescued on time by our government.

I doubt Israel will ever come to an agreement with the Palestinians. One of the demands of the Palestinians is the return of the Palstinian refugees since 1946 to their land. Now how will Israel return land that they say is their "God-given" right. With the way Jews view themselves as "God's chosen" people and how Christian doctrine seem to support that, no wonder madaming galit sa kanila. Israel is there cuz the Bible said so, even though they aren't welcomed by their neighbours. And how they treat the Palestinians makes them even less likely to find peace.

Actually, it was the Arabs who rejected the UN Partition Plan for Palestine in the 1940s. The plan was to divide Palestine in two two states, one Jewish and one Arab.

Israel are called people of the book...the jews claimed a land because the book says so turning back the clock thousands of years back and told the people of palestine, it is written, this is our land. We can't really blame the palestinians for being suicidal. Imagine yourself living in a place, you earned by birthright, with your family, then suddenly some white men stops by your house and say you have to leave because this land belongs to us. Would you let them take your land? Of course not, they will have to take your life if they do that. Same case with the palestines. They have been living there for thousands of years. Zionist americans and from other parts of europe migrated to palestine land to establish a theocratic state backed by a promise by the british after world war I.

Now since this world is about domination, power and military, US and UK allowed zionists to establish a state which happened 1948 thru UN resolution which offered strong resistance from the arabs. So much of recent terrorism started here in this middle east crisis.
