ang gets ko sa full auto, mayroon na siyang wash rinse and spin phases tapos matic na siya magproceed after each phase. ganun yung washing namin sa employee housing pero dials ang input haha

    the simple answer: yes.
manual = dials, and automatics = buttons.

    the complicated answer? read on.

there are various levels of manual-ness and automatic-ness.

    the most manual of manuals,
is where one has to turn the dial to fill the tub with water, then turn another dial to make it wash for xx minutes, and then another dial to drain the wash water. don't forget the soap!
then repeat the above (minus the soap).
there are some manual models, that use buttons. but they are mechanical buttons that click and pop, not touch-sensitive buttons associated with real digital automatics.

    for many automatics,
simply drop the clothes in, close the tub, and push the button. come back after about an hour or so, whereupon the clothes are already spin-dried, ready for hanging to further dry.
the soap is pre-loaded by the operator in a cannister in the machine. the machine releases it as per programming.

    in some more exotic automatics,
the heat-dry function is incorporated into the machine.
clothes come out, ready to press or to fold.

our fully-automatic sharp washing machine in the early 90s, was electro-mechanical, and had numbered dials to turn.
today's modern marvels are electronic and have buttons and LEDs instead of numbered dials. their instruction manuals also require 'higher learning'. heh heh.

[emoji16]

Sometimes i miss the automatic. Mas matagal lang service life ng non automatic washing machines. Less electronics, less headache. Abundant parts too!

Cleaning cycle pa naman takes almost 2 hours and a full tub of water.

Thanks for the offer pero no need miss. Under warranty pa naman kaya expected ko wala kaming babayaran. Pero kung talagang sakit ito ng Panasonic, I'll take photos and everything in case umulit at tapos na ang warranty.

Masubukan nga yang air dry sa tag-ulan. Curious kami dyan how dry it can get. Tsaka lakas sa kuryente for sure.

    the convenience is unbelieveable.
Dami pa naming justification dati for not getting an automatic.

Kesyo form of exercise ang paglalaba, baka hindi malabhan nang maayos, baka malakas sa tubig, malakas sa kuryente, madaling masira, too expensive, etc.

Yet here we are now, mild panic na at the first sign na magfe-fail ang automatic washer.

From manual to automatic, mama ko inip na inip.. Kaya madaling araw sya nagsasalang.. Pagkasalang, matutulog na ulit sya.. Paggising sampay na lang.. Nagustuhan nya na.. [emoji16]

just like my manual-to-matic car journey.
now, it's the contemplated key-to-no-key car.

but my next car will probably be smaller than the innova.
my body is already showing its accelerated age, no doubt because of the covid quarantine etc...
    OT.

Is that accumulated dirt encrusted on the tub?

Not as bad as it looks in the pic, really. I strictly use liquid detergent & soft water. Imagine if I hadn't. Just haven't gotten her naked for a good bath & scrubbing in a looooong while, sir.[emoji4]
Timely for some tub-cleaning while the shell gets some rust-proofing & a fresh coat of PU paint.

Fully automatic: put clothes soap fabcon in designated location. Input type of wash cycle, press start. Wait till it finishes the wash and dry cycle. Sampay after

Manual: put clothes, put hose, turn on faucet, wait to fill, put soap. Turn the timer knob. Drain,. Stop drain, Put hose again, turn faucet again fill with water, turn timer again to rinse.

Then drain and transfer to another tub to spin dry. Then sampay

I thought that when say manual, we refer to the twin tubs, same as the matics, it already has a hose, controls are mechanical which is not really bothersome compared to the digital button, but the manual comes in when you finish the wash cycle, since you have to manually transfer it into the spin dry tub.

Cleaned, de-rusted, repainted...just in time. Models after this are like modern cars...elelectronified & engineered for obsolescence.
