What is a good, durable brand of washing machine these days? The Samsung one keeps clonking out.

Whirlpool, maytag, kelvinator, General Electric, speed queen many brands just check what is available locally and has parts and service support

I had a bad experience with my White Westinghouse. Lagi nasisira, buti nalang warranty and the service honored it.

Id go for Maytag or Speed Queen if youre looking for an traditional heavy duty one. I'm likewise considering the Whirlpool front load, stackable washer and heat dryer when we move places (6kg).

Re. Samsung, our family had a well used one and it lasted 6-7 years of almost daily use. Nung nasira, it was just replaced nsfead of repaired. Important talaga yun mindful kayo sa load limit and the washer is on an even, flat surface.

I'd like to say Whirlpool but with the two units that we went through... well, they're not as reliable and as trouble-free as one would expect from a reputable brand.

We settled for (surprise surprise), an LG 15kg Fuzzy Logic washing machine that's already approaching its third year of being trouble-free.

+1 sharp here... si brother, sis, pinsan ko lahat na ata kami naka sharp brand. Ni isa sa kanila di pa nairerepair for 10 year na. Yung samin naman mag 18 year na as in super old model na ito pero still working pa naman... Sharp washing machine is simply the best brand talaga

I was able to check some automatic washing machine models to replace the old LG we have. The old one successfully survived more than three power surges. But it was able to withstand my DIY curiosity hahaha

Basic function wifey wants is auto load detection (for overloading) and maybe auto restart.
Eying an 8kg capacity (currently have 6 kg) within Php15K budget.

    The finalist are:

Electrolux 8.5kg (both with auto load or overflow and auto restart)
Php14,500 (0% int) or Php13K (cash or straight)

LG 8.0 kg (auto load detection and auto re-start)
Php16K+++ (0% int) or Php12,300 (cash or straight) --->>> laki discount nito

I am quite torn between the two because Electrolux has a higher capacity for the same price but I have a very good experience with LG and the discount is ridiculous.

If Elctrolux overflow detection isn't the same as overload detection, I will go for LG.

Yung mga washing machine pag less than 10 years pa lang hindi nyo pwede sabihin matibay yan. Ang warranty binigay ng manufacturer eh 5 years motor warranty. So dapat normal yan sa 5 years. Pag lumagpas yan 10 years pwede nyo na pag malaki na matibay.

Pag nasira ang clutch ang ikot eh puro pakaliwa na lang. Maiipit na pag pakanan. Magastos na ayusin kaya bumili na lang bago.

Problema sa digital at inverter after 5 years phase-out yung electronics parts. Kaya nadala na ako sa digital at semi-automatic na binbili ko. Mas malakas ikot wash cycle so malinis ang damit. Madali pa makabili ng rotary knob if ever masira.

Thank you for the suggestions. Probably misused by the helpers, it's about 3 years already. Overflow sensor keeps clonking out, maybe bad technician.

We recently bought the american home brand. Front load washer and a front load dryer. Dont know if it will last long.

In the case of our Whirlpool product (ref), it broke down a couple of times a few years ago but after the fix, it has run reliably. It's LG that i've had bad experiences with at the office with the split type (heavy use though and our maintenance personnel suck).
