Perils of modern tech. Advantage lang ng inverter motor is the fine control it has over tub movements. Never pa ako nakakuha ng tub imbalance error while spinning. It throws the clothes around until it gets an acceptable result.

True, wish we can have everything. The old school mechanical does the job fine + proven reliability/longevity & serviceability ease....can't complain.

I think I finished reading all the Washing Machine threads at the board already.

I can't decide between Panasonic and LG - it's the brand with the most feedback (BOTH positive and negative) from members. What I hate the most is having to repair or service anything.

Sharp - not considering this brand because our Sharp TVs both had problems in less than 5 yrs.
Speed Queen - all positive feedback but it's too expensive
Whirl Pool - Positive feedback for the old models

Below are the factors I need to consider

    1. Durability - it would last 10 yrs? It seems like most of the washing machines conk out in 6 to 8 yrs?
    2. Size - Is 6 to 8 kg enough? I only wear shorts and tank top and will only do laundry once a week. Different load for fat labs toys, towel and bed sheet
    3. Inverter or Non-inverter - 5 to 6 loads a week (we change sheets every 2 weeks and fat labs toys are not washed weekly)
    4. Manual or Automatic - I want a washing machine where I will just load the clothes and come back when it needs to be air dried na
    5. Front or Top load - I think top load is okay since I read that the price difference is huge
    6. Functions - simple and not too much electronics or buttons
    7. Budget - P20k maximum

It looks like the pandemic won't be over any time soon and it'll take a longer time before our labandera can report back to work. I really appreciate her more now because I had no idea how hard it was to hand wash a bath towel and clean fat labs toys (it gets so heavy when wet and so hard to rinse clean) I still prefer my clothes hand washed so the washing machine will probably be used just for bed sheets or towels when she's back to work.

    1. Lint filter

Be careful sa LG, their lower end washing machines don't have the good lint filter. if you look at their 22kg washing machine duon lng niila na mention yun lint filter.

on the samsung they the "magic filter" even on their lower end.

    2. Dispenser

sa LG ko, I use liquid detergent. and the dispenser is a water fall type. panget coz maximum dose yun detergent, some clothes are semi bleached. WTF

on most samsungs its got a proper dispenser, medyo diluted yun detergent. you can avoid the bleaching effect.

Have you browsed sa mall na? We browsed a few weeks ago and it seems I don't remember seeing inverter washing machine below 20k. Or maybe hindi lang kami nag hanap sa ibang store.

Nagrereklamo na wife ko sa current Samsung namin na minsan hindi na pantay yung tub sa loob. I don't really know what's really wrong because I don't do laundry. [emoji23]

I'm assuming we will need to buy a new one within 1 to 2 years. I'm contemplating if the more expensive inverter is worth the extra cash, since ako din nagbabayad ng kuryente. [emoji23]

^^ Tabingi na rin Samsung washing machine namin hehe, but still works. Is it wise to get an inverter since using it just takes less than an hour?

Whatever brand you choose, I'd suggest looking at reviews and demonstrations on YouTube.

Last year I was choosing between a Sharp and a Panasonic to gift my parents. The Sharp was a bit cheaper but when I watched a demo on YouTube, I realized the controls weren't as intuitive as the Panasonic.

IMO, the price tag doesn't justify whatever savings you're likely to get.

Hindi siya pareho ng aircon na talagang ramdam ang benefit ng inverter tech.

Thanks everyone. I definitely won't be getting an inverter anymore.

I haven't gone to the mall pero online meron inverter Panasonic 8.5 kg P17800

I called Western in Pasay Road and the sales guy told me it's cheaper to buy online kasi free delivery. Spot cash nila P10,600 plus DF pa. This model has a lot of reviews and demos on youtube. Pero bakit meron kinakabit pa sa gripo? Hindi ba pwede yung permanent na nakakabit sa tubo yung washing machine? Not sure kasi if I need to hire a tubero to install this?

Should be just a hose that you connect to a faucet. No need for a tubero.

many owners make do well enough, by connecting their machine's hose to an ordinary gripo with thread at the dulo.
that way, when the hose is removed, it's still a gripo that you can use.

some owners make the trouble of having a dedicated outlet just for their washing machine.
    puede rin naman, except that:
    1. without the washing machine, it's a useless piece of tubing; and
    2. it costs money to install.

    btw,
some models require some amount of cogitation, to install that hose to the ordinary gripo.

Alam ko yang kibakabjt sa gripo eh connector between the gripo and hose. Yung connector permanent na yan sa gripo. Now yung hose pwede mo tanggalin at ikabit sa connector with ease.

I like this, malayo kasi faucet sa washing machine. I think our all around can do this na. Ang mahal kasi magbayad pa ko sa neighborhood tubero e there is talk na may na covid ata sa kanila several months ako. Yikes!

I want kasi yung magagamit ko pa rin yung gripo, hindi ko pa maimagine how it works pero ganyan din gusto ko, pag gagamitin yung washing machine pindot na lang hehe

Please suggest washing machine.
