So ito para malaman ng public. Bago pa mauso ito sa tag ng uniqlo and H&M na DONT USE DETERGENT WITH OPTICAL BRIGHTENERS eh alam ko na ito mga year 2005 pa ata.

So, what is all the hub-bub about detergents without optical brighteners? Optical brighteners are synthetic chemicals. So if you’re trying to keep chemicals away from your precious little ones’ skin, this is something you should be checking out on the labels!

What are optical brighteners in laundry detergent?

Optical brighteners are synthetic chemicals that are added to liquid & powder laundry detergents. Laundry detergent manufacturers add this chemical for the sole purpose of making clothing appear whiter and brighter, and thereby looking cleaner.

OBAs (optical brightening agents) are added to most of the American laundry detergents today, to make whites appear whiter, but the reality is that they can also cause colors to fade, especially dark colored clothes. Have you ever had a new black blouse that only after a few washes looked grayish and worn out? That would be the OBAs doing their job, making clothes appear lighter/brighter! I would never use harsh synthetic chemicals to wash my cloth diapers, but the fact that they fade dark clothes is why I don’t use them on my clothes either!

Laundering The Army Combat Uniform (ACU)

On the care label, the instructions are to launder in a mild detergent which does NOT contain “optical brighteners.” The reason the instructions say not to use detergents with optical brighteners is that they make Army uniforms a lot more visible (not quite glow in the dark, but close).

What To Look For On The Package

Optical Brightening Agents (OBAs), Optical Whiteners, Fluorescent Brightening Agents, Fluorescent Brighteners, Fluorescent Optical Brighteners, Fluorescent Whitening Agents (FWAs), Fluorescent White Dyes, Organic Fluorescent Dyes, Blankophor, Dikaphor, DMS, Intrawite (textile use), Kolocron, Optiblanc, Tinopal, Tuboblanc, and Uvitex.

Any suggestion kung saan makakabili ng washing machine na discounted?

Sa aircon kasi may mga direct sellers that offer brand new units cheaper than appliance stores with free installation pa.
Baka sa washing machines may ganun din.

Ok thanks! Good to know. How long have you had the units? No problems with the installation? How about the warranty? It would still be covered by the brand (not where you bought them) right?

Over a year na. No problems with the installation naman, no leaks whatsoever.

These resellers are authorized distributors also so they are covered by the warranty of the aircon and they'll be the ones to service also.

Mabilis kausap yan pag mag order, but if may after sales or back job, hirap kausap. Tried calling Ray himself more than 10x in a span of 1 week, hindi talaga sasagot. Kahit text wala. Kahit tumawag ka sa office to look for him, sasabihin wala din siya.

Recently nagdagdag na siguro sila staff sa office, mas responsive yung huling nakausap ko.

If you're thinking split, sir. Humble 2cents.....Get a proven brand like Daikin. Specify & pay a lil more for oversized drains. Go 1-1.25" PPR, if possible. Install the unit on a perimeter wall closest to the condensing unit. No tube splices between ends. Shortest tube route will always yield higher efficiency. The shorter the drain & fewer the bends will lessen the clog & leak chances.

Thanks for the advise sir. My other one is a Samsung. Heard bad reviews about it, but so far mine is ok naman for the past 3-4 years. Now will limit choices to Daikin & Panasonic.

Will take note of the drain size & yup the drain would have no bends & be around 2m straight to the drain pipe. For the condenser, plan to install it in the roof (butas sa ceiling & diretso sa roof) just like with my other split type in the kids room. So that would be a lot shorter that placing it in the exterior wall. Sorry for hijacking this washing machine thread hehe.

If roof is of a material that'll get damaged longterm by periodic A/C maintenance traffic, have a metal catwalk fabricated. Leaky roofs=collateral damage=migraines.[emoji4]

I'd try to avoid roof-mounted condensing units. They always bite back. Not only does it make AC maintenance supervision more challenging, water isn't always life....it can be your worst enemy. Never pass tubes or anything thru roofing. Seals never last.
If left w/ no choice, do exposed routing.

I suggest asking them to lay out a steep grade for the drain pipe and using 45 degree elbows if elbows are necessary.

PPR is overkill don't you think? If set correctly, good old PVC will do the job. Practically no pressure in drain pipes.

Sharp or Panasonic should be on top of the list. Our Samsung washing machine conks out in less than 3years and need to replaced the pcb board.

True but pressure does build when drains get clogged....& the cost gap between PVC & overkill won't likely be felt. I think of it as a 1 time & forget thing.[emoji4]
