Oakleys are worth it! Almost 4 years na yung glasses ko and wala ako complaints so far.

I even gave my wife a Bottlecap kasi sold ako sa producst nila. Nag-iipon na rin ako pambili ng polarized na Half Jacket XLJ para pang-outdoors and driving.

personally, NO. Given that the same money can get you either a very good celfone, a decent computer upgrade, a relatively big flatscreen TV, a fairly good entry level brand name digital camera, etc ... I'd rather get those other items.

right now.... sobrang taas na ng presyo ng oakley... yung juliet/romeo is now around 20K... before 12K lang yun.

pero sulit siya before... less than 10K ang bili ko sa a-wires before.

Dunno about you guys but I broke the hinges of my A wires when I recklessly placed a 5 gallon water container over it.

as far as i know, you can have it replaced. na-loose thread yung mga screws ng juliet ko, i just brought it back to the optical shop, paid around P800 and i got an entirely new frame! at least bago na ulit yung frame, di repaired

for me sulit kasi pang-matagalan sya. pwede naman palitan yung mga lenses pag nag-sawa ka...wag lang yung iridium type lens kasi sobrang gasgasin at kelangan talagang ingatan.

Have had my Oakley Juliet Ruby Red lenses for over 4 years now. Still in great condition and use them everyday for driving.

Got it for about 20k and still think it was a great purchase.

I wear prescription glasses. So, I use clip-on shades that clip on all sides (and not the flip-up type).

If I have some time, I'll eventtually get glasses with sun-sensitive lens.

    Yeah, old school.

I am hoping they have retained the results of Bausch and Lomb's extensive R&D all those years, even though Ray Ban is owned by another company now, and keep the technology in the product.

The metal Oakleys are very expensive. I have 2 plastic models phat cat and valve kasi yung lang fit sa budget ko. Kung mawala man, hindi masyado masakit mawalan ng 6Thou compared to 17Thou(juliets).

Advice lang: wag ka kumuha ducati kung wala ka naman ducati

Oakley has a warranty. You can have it replaced or repaired. Kung magasgas yung lens or masira yung frame due to normal usage, punta ka lang sa isang authorized dealer. You can even log your glasses' serial number sa official website nila for tracking purposes.

Oakley's research on optics and frames has made wonders for them. Major endorser nila is the US military. Official contractor sila ng US armed services, specially for special operations units. They supply shooting glasses and googles, as well as shoes. Other endorsers include golfers, extreme sports enthusiasts, cyclists, shooters, race drivers, etc.

If you are really planning to get a pair of Oakleys, check their website to look for the right shape, frame material, and lens for you. Be particular about the lens color. Iba-iba properties ng lens color. Ako preference ko yung Ice Iridium Polarized.

actually sa akin, not worth it.
that is why, i am now just using a rudy project shades that i got for 3k, a mojave convertible shades from home tv shopping for 1200, and my old "top gun raybaan aviator shades that i've got 10 years ago for 2k.

17k, just as luckytruck stated, will get me a new fridge which is taller than me... hehehe. or my kid's one quarter tuition fee.

If you still have the warranty card, why not try bringing it to an authorized dealer? Baka makalusot ka...

I heard somewhere that the production cost of a pair of Oakleys is around 25 pesos. So it's pretty safe to say those things are waaaay overpriced.

Are Oakley sunglasses worth the cost?
