Just bought a new pair of oakley sunglasses-Valve jpm limited.

Compared to other oakleys this model would probably be the most reasonable for me. Sa +7T 50/50 na nga pakiramdam ko na masaya at nanghininayang dahil sa presyo.

17T for sunglasses?? Not worth it. Not unless it could let you shoot laser beams from your eyes.

Will my oakley still be worth anything near its value in 5 years? i don't know.
Well, least once in my life I was a proud owner of an oakley.

    -the end-

i used to love Oakley when they just startup company. I bought a frogskin for $25.00, now the cheapest that I can find is around $89.00. I switch to Native Eyewear, and then them too are getting expensive. Now I'm looking at buying either Smith or Fossil, maybe just go back to American Optical.

There are people who own more than one Oakley. Its either they really love the products, the style and/or the protection it provides.
I myself own an E-wire. Problem is the price was too steep.
Lately, I have been using Serengeti's. I have tried and researched all other brands and Serengeti claims that their lenses are probably the best in the world. I couldnt agree more.
    Just my 2 cents.
In fact, I love Serengetis so much (and I didnt find any local dealers) that I have made a few models available to fellow Serengeti lovers.

it depends on the person buying and how long the person intends to use the oakleys.

i bought my romeo (titanium frame with gold iridium lens) way back in high school (2000-2001) and i never bought another pair of sunglasses since.

sulit na rin kasi it held up for this long and buhay pa rin although nagpa change lens ako some 3-4 years ago dahil naiwan ko siya sa sand without its case kaya dami scratches.

what i like about the romeo is that di na siya binebenta so may exclusivity factor din hehe

Yung oakley ko na C wire - Platinum frame more than 2 yrs na sa akin walang gasgas saka walang sira matibay talaga sya.

Yung goma lang sa gilid madaling puntahan nang dumi.

to other people, 17K is high (not to mention its twice the basic salary of ordinary employee).

To me the price is okay (though its really expensive ...), however will find altenative where price is less than half of 17K. Just me..

Of course its your money, if you can afford it (we know you can), then go for it.

im using e-wire prescription glasses...sulit naman...tumagal sa akin yung nose piece at rubber sa side ng almost 2 years...bumigay na yung rubber sa side dahil hinahawakan ko ito noon ng kamay na puno ng undercoat at gasolina...kapag nagpalit ka 500 lang naman for a pair of nose piece at yung 2 rubber sa gilid....

i also don't like the plastic type oakleys, dami nasisira/ napuputol (yung pangsabit sa tenga). maganda sa maganda, pero ang daming peke.

i prefer (and bought) rudy project. tibay ng frame, binend ng pamangkin ko, hindi nabali yung frame. may carrying case, pouch and 3 sets of lens ka pa! mine is a graal. gamit ko pa rin up to now, 2 years na sa akin

rudy project's are a better buy....especially the ekynox sx polar 100's. many features not found on highend oakleys, like 360 degree adjustable temples, adjustable ergonose, interchangable lenses and optional rx-ability. the polar 100 lenses are exellent polarized lenses but double the price of rudy regular lenses. but still way cheaper than oakleys non-polarized lenses. do some reasearch. for me, what u pay for oakley is just the name. i bought a pair of rudy's at podium. they have a shop there and it comes with a warranty and availability of spareparts.

    17k for sun glasses?

i have a pair of ray bans (ang cheap ko!) which i bought from vietnam, puslit daw sa factory ng ray ban sa ho chi minh (super cheap!!) at US$5 (napaka-cheap ko talaga!!!). to prove to you how cheap i am, US$10 nga ang benta sa akin, tinawaran ko pa nyahahaha! (i am so cheap!!!)

i use it for driving, very light lang siya kahit na 5 hours nakapatong sa ilong ko hindi masakit, okay naman ang optics walang glare. 3 years na sa akin, no scratches kahit na ilang beses na nahulog.

Bro, i dont think you are cheap. Maybe it comes with the age(joke lang pre). I used to own rayban when i was in highschool when it was the chosen brand. So that means our age is not that far.

Are Oakley sunglasses worth the cost?
