There's a big uniqlo being constructed sa glorietta 5. It seems almost the whole block. Nakalagay na flagship store ng uniqlo.

The Glorietta 5 branch closed last year since nilalangaw sila dun.

SM is known to be one of the most locally recognized shopping malls of the Philippines. It is like a staple when it comes to cities to have one, even if it is just at grocery level. Even more recognizable is the word SALE that gives one visions of savings while being able to purchase the goods. Yet another modus of the said shopping mall aroused as TV5 camera man, Arnel Tugade who was once hopeful for such a SALE of their local SM Department Store in Bulacan realized the truth behind these SALES conducted by SM.

It seems like a modus operandi sa Tugade was buying 10% less kitchenware in SM Department Store but when he was about to pay and having the cashier scanning each product, he noticed that the original price was way lower than the promo price.

In his Facebook post he wrote a simple computation that backs his realization,

“Promo price:
Serving Bowl P79 less 10% = P71
Original price: P63

Promo price:
Tumbler P42 less 10% = P38
Original price: P34”

This means that there was a 20% raise on the original price before the SALE discount was applied, thus making one spend 10% more rather than saving 10%.

Other than this disappointing revelation of SM’s trickery, it was also disappointing that the complaint that Tugade filed on the matter was in totality disrespected.

The Glorietta 5 branch closed last year since nilalangaw sila dun.

Medyo isolated yung G5 from the main Glorietta (1-4) kaya hindi mapuntahan ng tao.

And yes, G5 will be the future site of the flagship uniqlo store

If you are going to buy something expensive better get the price first from other stores besides SM. Matagal nang modus yan. Yung iba pag inangat mo yung sale price tag sa ilalim makikita mo yung original price tag na mas mura pa sa sale price tag.

^or avoid SM like the plague. I only go to SM if I have absolutely no choice. And I'm glad a good number of my family and friends do the same.
