Malaysia, Flight 370 relatives talk financial help | Inquirer News

At the start of the crisis, mainlanders are hysterics and so demanding. At the end, it's all about financial demands.
I guess their mind set was, he who is the noisiest get's more financial aid.

maingay lang talaga and demanding mga mainlanders in general. pero sa business, kahit demending, we still service them. kasi sila lang ang bumibili

    ???

The relatives, however, expressed dissatisfaction with the meeting, saying in a statement that until they have “at least a tiny bit of concrete evidence” that the plane crashed, authorities should not try to settle the case with final payoffs.
Seems they're hoping the relatives are still alive and won't take the money until they know.

Malaysia Bomoh is back... using a block of ice to solve haze issue | Asiaone
    Friday, Sep 18, 2015

With Southeast Asia looking like the set of Silent Hill in the recent weeks, Malaysia's infamous Bomoh has tasked himself with trying to clear the haze.

According to mig.me, a state of emergency has been declared in Riau, Indonesia with the Pollutant Standards Index (PSI) reaching 984 on Sept 14.

Malaysia has closed schools, while governments in Singapore and Brunei cautioned citizens to stay indoors.

Malaysian bomoh Ibrahim Mat Zin, who was previously famous for wielding coconuts in an attempt to help find missing plane MH370, has offered his services to help with the haze.

'Bomoh' is Bahasa Melayu for Shaman.

A video uploaded by SUARA.TV on Sep 15 shows the 81-year-old praying over a block of ice and holding a pair of bamboo binoculars over his eyes.

He said in Malay that the ice on the wok is a symbol of hope for cleaner air.

He also claims that it is a traditional method that has been used for hundreds of years.

after 3 years they're calling off the search:

After 3 years, MH37 search ends with no plane, few answers | World, News, The Philippine Star | philstar.com

"Despite every effort using the best science available, cutting-edge technology, as well as modeling and advice from highly skilled professionals who are the best in their field, unfortunately, the search has not been able to locate the aircraft," the agency said in a statement, which was a joint communique between the transport ministers of Malaysia, Australia and China.
