    nag uugat itong kabulukan as follows:
    *when the spanish colonialist came, nadistort ang mindset natin ng mga paguugali ng mga espanyol. dito nagumpisa pati ang pagiging feeling iba at high class mentality ng pinoy when the spanish decided to change into spanish sounding ang pangalan ng mga pinoy.
    *being low class at alipin in the eyes of the spaniards we suffered physicall7 & emotionally kaya nagkaroon ng mga filipino uprisings sila rizal, mabini, bonifacio, etc.
    *dumating ang mga kano with their own self serving interests at the onset of the 20th century at ginawa tayong puppet government until the wrath of mt pintubo drove their military bases away for good. at the same time we adapted the western culture in so many awkward ways to the point of being "trying hard" kahit tayo ay brown race, pango, small built unconsciously forgetting our inherent ways na minana natin gaya ng pagmamano, respect for law, God-fearing, etc.
    *when we gained our independence we have very honest & serious leaders fighting to preserve our identity kahit me mga kanong hudas na bumubulong sa tenga nila. Some of these leaders are oligarchs in their own turfs but some are poor, simple but finely bred and firm in their convictions like magsaysay, garcia, macapagal and has the no nonsense foresight for the good future of the filipinos. we were then next to japan in economic standing dito sa asia. ang thailand, singapore, malaysia, hongkong, south korea were also poor & struggling countries.
    *then came the big whammy of martial law by the forgettable creature, macoy. maraming nakulong na potential nationalists & fine leaders, political patronage flourished, military bigwigs calling the shots, sipsipang katakot takot. the big loss came in the form of dollar drain exudos by the fed-up investors and considered the philippines second to none as potential place to put up factories, technology transfers, etc.
    *EDSA 1 came into being but no matter how hard the convincing - with short-lived commendable efforts of Pres. Ramos - the foreign investors managed only a paltry sums of contribution to nation rebuilding; bakit? kudeta dito, kudeta don; the remnants of the worst legacies martial law made a scar to the nation has never been eradicated; ang dating mangilang mangmang multiplied so many times; ang mga kukunting corrupt na politikos, bureau chiefs lalong dumami, ang mga military never been boldened by engaging in carnappings, drug dealings, gambling, at kung ano ano pa..; the left leanings and our muslim brothers are still fighting it out in their own limited but very nasty way of driving the tourists away to neighboring countries with their precious $$$.

    which brings us to present times; ngayon ang tanong: hanggang saan ang paghihintay na bagong pag-asa ng karamihan sa ating mga dukhang kapatid? masisisi ba ng gobyerno natin kung magkandakuba at lamoglamog ang mga kawawang DH sa kamay ng mga sadistang amo? hindi, tsong!! isa sila sa tinuturing na BAGONG BAYANI..

    nakakasiwa isipin..

    of course me pag-asa pa naman ang bansa natin; let's all unite at iwasan ang ugaling talangka; accept our generic characteristics & dna structures; hwag maging mahiyain sa sariling bansa bagkos isaisip ang pagiging tunay na pilipino na may unang karapatan sa likas na yaman;

    hwag magdalawang isip harapin at ipatuwid ang mga asal na nakakasira sa inborn values natin;

    kung pango ka di iyan dahilan para isang tabi ka at palitan ng mga mistiso; kung ang apelyido mo ay hindi western ang dating bakit ka mahihiya? caucasian ba ang balat mo? blond ba buhok mo? mata mo ba kulay asul o berde?

    ikaw ang mabigyan ng unang pagkakataon sa ano mang bagay habang nasa sariling kang bayan, 'igan. panahon ng iwaksi ang pagiging makadayuhan na pag-iisip; ibigay ang lahat ng karapatan para at una sa tunay na pilipino; pag magkaisa lahat sa ganyang pauugali me pag-asa ang pilipinas;

    kung pagod kanat alang nangyayari with time running out prepare to leave and find your dreams somewhere else..

    I personally believe na ang pag asenso ng bansa ay nagsisimula sa mga indebidwal na gustong umangat at may DISIPLINA sa sarili nila. Kahit saan lugar ka man, kesyo nasa White House or nasa sarili mong pamamahay, dapat may DISIPLINA. Ako, pag may nakausap akong politiko, una kong itatanong, gano ka ba ka disiplina sa bahay mo, ganun ka rin ba sa trabaho mo?????

    People just have no self discipline or natural feeling of responsibility. Just look at the high drug rate.

    Dont tell me its all because everyone so poor, its also a moral choice. Everyone has a survival of the fittest state of mind.

    Some poor guy will complain about a corrupt official, but given the chance to be corrupt he'll just go, "pana-panahon lang yan, at ngayon panahon ko na!" and forget all that he fought against.

    Seen first hand, sad but true.
