Hi guys, Im 19 yo guy and a college student. My mom works in London and left me under her relatives, my dad left me already and I don't see him anymore. I am applying for a visa to London and going to enrol in a university. If my visa won't be approved, my mom will buy me a car. I really want to study here in the Philippines but sayang opportunity sa London. My mom already spent a lot of money just to get me to London.Im also afraid to study there.

So if you were in my shoes what'd you do? Would you grab the opportunity?

Sorry, my english sucks. Thanks guys!

Go to London man. A good education is an opportunity everyone should grab in my opinion. I went there myself for and studying there would be far different from studying in the Philippines. You might have to change your lifestyle.

plenty of immigrants there. as long as your work your arse, you'd be tolerated unlike the Poles and Romanians...

You've been here and seen what this country can offer. Opening another opportunity is something millions of your countrymen desire.
You can always have a car anytime you would like but that opportunity can only knock once. You can always come back if you don't like it, just don't forget Tsikot.com

Go to London. If you like it there, stay. If you don't, then come back here. You may even have a degree from an English college in tow, plus some GBP's in your pocket -- it should make things easier upon your return(if you so choose)

Racism is only present in certain quarters. You'd be surprised at the number of Indians there. London is quite multi-cultural but rural England is a whole different kettle of fish. i wouldn't worry about trouble unless you're the type who looks for it.

Which school will you be attending?

When you go to school there, you might want to look for a job in your spare time to add to your allowance. The Pinoy lifestyle is a bit laid back whereas Western cultures are faster-paced so this may be where you'd need a bit of adjustment. If you like your beer and whiskey, then you'll be spoiled for choice.

Yes, racism is everywhere. I heard London is one of the least racist cities. For the school I have no idea yet and yes I will look for a job :D

Ah... good for you. I recommend my old school Imperial college where they excel at courses such as engineering. They have a campus at Kensington. I took up bioengineering there though I later changed courses.
