Very depressed, one month na ko di makapagtrabaho because of my eye problems. Kaya my monthly bills is starting to catch up, I need a vitrectomy surgery next month which will cost an arm and a leg.
Please learn from my mistake. Pinabayaan ko ang diabetes at high blood pressure ko. Until one day I woke up with blurred and cloudy vision. Kinatatamaran ko dati pumunta sa doctor dahil ayaw koag Absent sa trabaho. Now here I am not able to work. My recovery might take a month or more, which means matagal pa ko di makapagtrabaho.
One positive thing I can take away from this, is I can teach my kids proper nutrition, diabetes, how to take care of themselves at an early age. Unlike me wala akong natutunan sa diabetes, prevention, healthy foods. Both sides of their parents are diabetic so it would help to teach them what Im only learning now.

In my case, I guess I'm lucky to have no issues (yet) related to HBP, heart disease, or diabetes. However, my knees ache more often nowadays when I play sports. A few days of rest helps. But, I doubt I'll return to the shape I was when I was younger.
I have a doctor's appointment later in the month. But, it's mostly a check up to see how I'm doing.

first thing I did was consult an ophthalmologist. also at the same time a diabetologist to control my sugar and BP which are the cause in the first place. OK naman yung diabetologist and 8 was able to normalize my sugar and BP in a couple of weeks, magaling na motivation ang pagkabulag.
after a fluorescein andiogram, she saw that theres a lot of blood in my eyes, dahil sa pumutok na mga Blood vessel courtesy of my diabetes and hbp. And there's a retinal detachment on my left eye, basically there's a blood between my eyeball and retina that's why the retina is starting to detach. Didn't know na may ibat ibang klase pa pala ng optha, my 1st is a general optha, si she sent me to an optha specializing sa retina.
the 2nd optha made me wait for 2 weeks to let the blood subside, 1 week medication with Hepasil to stop blood from flooding my eyes. then he started laser treatment to my retina. I don't really understand the exact explanation for the laser for retina, but it seems to protect it from blood or veins.
Anyway after 2 laser sessions, medyo nawawala na yung blood from my right eye but there are still blood somewhere in the middle Kaya hirap pa rin makakita. the left eye is worst, the doctor wasn't able to penetrate it with the laser in 1st session, and only penetrated a little on 2nd session. Because of the blood between the retina and the eyeball. I might still need 2 more sessions of laser.
The doctor said that I would need a vitrectomy surgery for my left eye.
I hope it all goes well. Learned my lesson already, I'm not ready to be a PWD at an early age of 38. Nung umpisa eh hindi ako makabasa, di ako makapag drive, I was really considering suicide pag permanent ang condition ko. Ayaw kong maging pabigat sa family ko at an early age.
