    Insects? Wanted to pet it nga. They even had a fight getting my attention :bwahaha: Some even swam to follow me on the other side. They are kinda like dogs pala.

    insects.. worms.. if it can be swallowed, it will.
    and is it ducks or geese, that also serve as effective guard animals..?
    anyway, my mom didn't like them.. they wrecked her flowering plants..

    ^So they can survive without a body of water. They are similar to dogs nga (wrecking plants) I suppose it's geese that are effective guards. These ducks are very friendly e. Here's a close up. I don't even know the difference between a pato, bibe, pugo or gansa

    pato - type of cheese.
    bibe - article of clothing placed over baby's neck, to prevent soiling of clothes by food droppings.
    gansa - a positive greeting to show one's admiration to something strikingly beautiful..
    pugo - don mariano calburo y dimaculangan! bitoy's and leroy's dad.

    but my childhood memory of these round christmas-time cheeses, is different from what i now see in the grocery.. iba na ang texture, flavor, etc..
    or is my palatal memory in-accurate?

    saaayyy... did you know that the "queso de bola" was specially manufactured to cater to the philippine market? it was formulated to allow maturity to set during the long sea voyage from europe to the philippines.. for the Christmas celebrations..

    I don't think so. My Mom is old na. She had me late e.

    I did not know that about the queso de bola. I learned something new today Pato is one of my staple padala for my Auntie based abroad.

    i feel like posting this- that one in the picture is the pato. a long - necked pato with shrieking sound is the gansa. if it's not a pato or a gansa, at yung itlog nila ay yung gawing balut, it's the bibe.
