I wonder if that is a Chinese thing? Sa company where my Dad worked a number of them have assigned houses behind the factory. Behind the extremely tall gate and wall at the back of the factory/compound parang may mini suburb of a a few houses (less than 10). It makes me wonder if companies still gave perks like that.
