my personal view is that there is a way higher chance that you'll be using your gun in an ego/machismo related altercation than in unavoidable self-defense/kidnapping/robbery.

I guess non-lethal weapons are better as they cannot allow you to kill impulsively. And if you killed someone with nunchucks, then maybe you really, really meant to kill him

My wife and I both own guns but only she carries hers in her car

She is a better shooter than me, in fact, she is at the top of her shooting class - which is also why I never mess around with her :hihihi:

what do you guys mean by nonlethal weapons? baseball bats, tire irons, etc? wouldn't it suck if you pulled out one of those and the other guy pulls out a gun?

For me, I keep my rifle at home. I just take it out when I go to the range to do some target shooting.

And besides, it's too big to be kept in the car. (hehehehe)

Maganda rin naman kase kung marunong ka humawak at gumamit ng baril as long as you are a responsible gun owner.

    Just my two cents.

I honestly think that women are more fit to carry guns around (with proper training of course) since they are statistically less violent and doesn't have the macho/ego complex that we, men, have a surplus of. I could be wrong

I carry my weapon only when going to and coming from work or qualifying days at the range. Other than that I'd prefer not to have a weapon on my person while in the car off duty. I've seen too many things go wrong when a weapon is introduced into a volatile situation for all the parties involved. In my profession we are trained to de-escalate situations and introducing a gun just escalates matters to a point were all parties may later regret the consequence of their actions. Just recently a fellow officer in Florida was killed in a road rage incident because one party did not want to disengage from the situation. The officer should have known better and let it go but decided to follow the other party which later ended with him being shot and killed. Now his family suffers the grief of his loss and the other family suffers having their father/grandfather in jail, nobody wins.
