    sir,
try mo kay ROYAL PLUMBING dyan sa binondo , just bought last week 2 unit HONDA 6.5KVA MADE IN JAPAN, rated output at 5.6KV, mas mura ang ROBIN but ang liit ng tank capacity niya compare to HONDA

up ko lang I think ok na ako sa honda na 3-3.5KVA....

I calculated yun gagamitin lang during brownout..wala pa yatang 1,100 watts eh

    so kung 3,000 watts
    2,400 watts kung 80% load
    2,100 watts 70%
    1,500 watts 50%

ang computation ko last night, yun mga dapat lang iopen during blackout is the following:

    fridge is around 200W
    aquarium filter ko is 30W x 2= 60W (actual is 20W*)
lights, 30W x 5 = 150W (pero meron naman akong mga pinlight allover the house, ranging from 7-12W), siyempre ito lang mga energy saver ang i-on ko during blackout)
personal fridge=100W (actual is 88W lang)
    electric fan 70W x 5= 350W

    total ko is 860Watts lang

kahit isama ko pa big screen TV ko which is 200W pwede pa rin..less than 50% load pa rin sa 3kva....

usually ba ilang watts ang mga A/C, and mas mataas ba wattage ng split type vs window type? I have 2 spit type (1.5HP & 2 HP) and 4 window type (1HP yata and 1.5HP), so tingin ko baka pwede pa isang either 1.5HP spit type or 1 hp window type

question is yn MTS, meron bang yun nakita kong model sa net na parang meron siyang outlet para hinde naka fix yun genset, na i plug mo lang genset kung gagamitin?

or ganito lang meron dito s atin na double throw

and ang price nitong mga MTS is more or less kaprice lang ng mga circuir breaker right? ano nga palang size, or meron bang rating itong mga MTS?

Planning to buy a power generator also. Yung mga new generators ngayon pwede bang iwanan nalang naka-ON overnight?

And kung 1 2.5hp and 2 1.5hp aircons ang sabay gagamitin, mga ilang KVA kaya ang kelangan?

Yes, you can leave them ON overnight. Make sure that you have enough petrol/large tank to run them....

    Bro, 1HP is 746W. 2.5HP + 1.5HP + 1.5HP = 5.5HP = 750x5.5= 4125W

When a compressor starts, its drain on current is approx 3X so, 4125W x 3 = 12375W or 12375VA. Normally, factor of safety is X2. However, it is your call. My take is 25KVA.... (Have no real experience here, though)....

don't look at the running amperes because that is not the maximum load. starting amperes ang nagde-decide ng size ng genset. starting amperes of electric motors is between 2x (for fans, low loaded motors) to 3x (compressors, aircons) of the running amperes. sa 2.5 hp aircon that's 2.5x760/220 = 8.6A running amps (1.9KVA). 8.6A x 3 = 25.8A. so needed kva rating to effectively run a 2.5 hp aircon is 25.8 x 220 = 5.7 KVA.

to be sure, look at your aircon and see what the rated amps is. multiply by 3 and that is the starting amps. then multiply by 220 and that gives you the required minimum kva rating of the genset.

Direct conversion lang ba from HP to Watts? Kasi yung sa 1.5HP aircon and nakalagay na Power input is around 2100W.

add ko lang, just read cvt's post kasi.

    1hp = 746 watts in "classroom" calculations.

in real life the inductance losses must be taken into account, and 1hp = 760 watts is the usual number used when computing for electric motors.

minimum of 7.5kva pero dapat 10kva na yan to prevent strain sa genset lalo na may mga ilaw/ref/tv at kung ano pa idagdag. lakas ang kain ng kuryente ng a/c compressor bagsak bigla ang output ng generator.

Any idea how much a 10KVA genset costs? And what is better: gas or diesel fed?

Is it possible to join hondaclubph with this?
