I view CSB as separate from Main just as other DLSU branches
BTW true story, my first job almost exclusively hires from the top 3. We were in immediate need of a new staff. A guy came in with DLSU on his CV, got an interview and passed. Upon hiring EAC pala siya. My manager got mad at that HR lapse and she never would have hired especially with that "deception". We asked the guy and he said he really tries to pass himself off as mainUnfortunately he was NOT a good employee and gave his school a bad name, pati HS niya nasira sa office. LOL. We work with numbers and almost everyday meron kami disbalance because of him and one person's ADDITIONAL job is to reconcile his work. Guy never got promoted, manager had enough at "tinapon" siya sa call center where he can't cause too much "damage"
The company in the 2010s became more liberal with hiring so hindi na tumitingin sa school.

One thing na tingin ko humila sa UP is no exam pa din sila. So naturally the selection process resulted in not really the best of the bunch. Dami kasi magic sa grading system. AdMU made it a point na may exam na this year. 1 year hiatus lang sila.
As a consequence, performance of the studentry when it comes to research and citations obviously would also take a hit. That's a probable consequence. Tapos balita ko dami din ayaw sa government na mga teachers na bumalik agad sa f2f teachings so that's possible factor as well.
But that's just my 2 cents. They may publish the scores in total but how it was decided is probably for the school admin to know. Not just for anyone interested.
Or
UP is lower not because UP is weaker. UP is lower because Ateneo is stronger lang talaga.Last edited by Ry_Tower; October 12th, 2022 at 10:58 PM.

Did you know that Sandro Marcos has a degree from the London School of Economics? And a Masters degree from another school I don't know? Did you know that?

same here... DLSU Taft is DLSU Taft.
Other DLSU schools are just the same as the "other universities"
Well ADMU and DLSU really takes care of their schoolmates. di kaya taga ibang school yung head ng HR nyo?
sa previous company ko... Legal team will always hire someone from Ateneo - puro Atenista sila
Admin will always hire someone from St. Scho
then there was a time sa Dept namin na puro UST ang dumating... pero later (new head) kung saan saan na din galing new staff.

Yup tama naman siya. Ferdinand Sr was brilliant but unfortunately hindi namana ni JR ang brains ni SR
Hindi e. Dati kasi I was told by an HR officer na chummy namin, when they segregate CVs it's UP, DLSU, ADMU and others (na most probably shredder ang ending) If you segregate the employees 90% from those 3 schools, yung others latin honors level or tipong Bedan/Miriam/AC/SSC from GS to College.
Naabutan ko pa yung "discrimination" sa office nung fresh grad ako. May interview pa ko tinanong ako how will I go to work, when I said I have a car, I was asked if I drive or driverPati books I read and places I hang out (ibang company naman yan) May na applyan din ako I was told to lose my extra weight lol (though yung company kasi represents health) That could never happen in the 2020s.
Anyway, I think in general wala na talaga discrimination ngayon sa schools kasi sa industry namin nung una mapili multinationals but now not anymore.
What I want to know nung panahon ko notorious ang FMCG for only hiring cream of the crop grads from the top 3. I want to know if they even hire non top 3 na. May mga BPO na din kasi FMCG but I mean the Manila office (non BPO)

Oo naman meron na din talaga. Pero nga kelangan maganda talaga grades and mostly ay because of of performance. A cousin-in-law is a sales expat. Nag-umpisa siya sa sales nung inalok ko previous supervisory work ko. From then supervisor to area manager then national level na siya sa JTI. Siya na trainor at sabi niya karamihan talaga top 3 pa din at kung hindi lang pumayag mga yun sa offer bago na sila naghahanap from other universities. Sa starting salary and package kasi minsan daw talagang tumatanggi mga graduates of top 3 schools.

All I can say is swerte mga fresh grads ngayon because companies are not as discriminatory as they were before. Yung mga gay nga out and celebrated pa sa office. Nung fresh grad ako in the early 2000s "tinatapon" mga nalalaman na gay sa unwanted departments. Sa Headquarters namin for sure they will be frowned upon kasi my German bosses commented na dami daw gay sa Manila office (they're honest with me kasi close kami)
Kaya Pilipinas is the best place for women and lgbtq.
