Does school really matter?

"Does school really matter" - To me it does, but learning matters more. A lot of applicants have impressive academic records but lack essential skills, attitude and acumen to do the job. An impressive record will get you noticed and probably hired, but it won't keep you there or promote you. In the end it is still about performance.

in other words s/he must be a street smart. Hehe
