The cost of higher education is always high and you have no guarantee that what you went to school for will be your line of job. It's usually lower in RP. But if you think about it, it is less costly if you learn a skill either to use as a stepping stone or as a career. With skills you start making money in two years or less vs four years of college and turn into an unemployed bum who either owe money or the parents sold their prized possessions.

19 na ako mga sir incoming freshman sa mapua got approved by the evp. Should i choose mapua over letran? Letran's engineering started in 2012 lang kasi. Hindi pa siya subok unlike mapua. Nakakatakot lang mag mapua at baka hindi kayanin. Kung sipag meron ako niyan kaso talino... Average lang ako diyan.

Sa mga mapua grads po diyan hihingi lang po ng tips

Magaling ka sa math?
Engineering is mostly math

Ako walang sipag wala ding talino tyamba lang meron. Tip ko lang wag ka lang matakot ayun lang kailangan mo. Hanap ka din ng org depende kung ano ba mga trip mo. Meron nga din palang tinatawag na OT (old testament) dyan. Hanap ka sa mga ka org mo nun meron din yung mga nagphophotocopy sa labas nun. Mga kopya yun ng lumang exam pero syempre topakin mga prof dyan kaya aralin lang lagi basic. Tapos ingat din sa kantunan my kakilala akong dalawa na nabiktima dun. Naforce mag drop for the whole term dahil sa sakit hehe. My suki lang kami dun na binibilhan. Saka make friends lang lagi hanggang board exam kailangan nyo magtulungan hehehe.

Opo kesa sa memorization! Nung elementary days ko pa sumasali ako sa competitions. Ewan ko nalang po math ko ngayon

My take on the matter:

School "prestige" plays a big factor in one's employment. Alam ng halos lahat: UP, LaSalle, Ateneo, etc.. Pag sinabi mo galing ka sa ".......", tanong nila, san yun?

To the TS, remember this... Its not the school that makes the student, its the student that makes the school.
What the school may lack in facilities and resources, it may make up in hard knock experiences. And we all know that experiences are the best teachers in life.

School may teach you the fundamentals but experiences will teach you the application of these fundamentals. Yan yung naobserve ko sa mga "less prestigious" schools.

basta piliin mo lang yung gusto mong course at maghanap ng matatalinong seatmate.

So now you're considering Letran over Mapua just because you're scared of a challenge?

Why settle when you're given a chance to better maximize your potential with Mapua? Ikaw na rin nagsabi na mas maganda engineering ng Mapua and noone disagrees with that.

Pero kung masaya ka na at tanggap mong mediocre ka lang, edi sayangin mo yung chance for greatness. Go live the easy life. Tapos after college tingnan natin kung sino mas easy ang life, ikaw o yung nagpursigi makatapos sa Mapua.

Kaya nga. Hindi naman sikat ang UP, Ateneo, and La Salle dahil lang mahirap yung curriculum nila.

It is more because they have produced decades' worth of graduates that have really proven their skill in the workplace.

The good schools attract the good students, which maintains continuity.

School or no school..gawin mo lang yung gusto mng gawin, kung san ka masaya..may pera ka man o wala, sigurado at least masaya ka..at the end of it all, hindi lang naman pera lang ang habol ng lahat kundi kung saan sila masaya at fulfilled.

O before ako akusahan ng mga pilosopo ng pagiging ipokrito, hindi ko sinasabing hindi kailangan ang pera, kailangan yan at ako gusto ko niyan ang sinasabi ko lang, kung ano talaga ang trip mong gawin gawin mo lang with passion, pera susunod yan.

Anu course sa eng'g ang kukunin mo? Puede mo naman itry yan kc 1yr to 2nd yr pareho lang ang mga subject sa 3rd yr magkaka alam Kung kakayanin mo at pag dating sa 4th o 5th relax nalang yan alam mo na yung flow.
Pero Kung mahirapan ka madami school puede mo lipatan.

Of course I like challenges yun lang sir, if hindi na kayanan at nagkamali baka 30 yrs old na ako gumraduate nito. Pero tama ka po sa lahat. Enrolled naman na po ako. I'll make sure to do my best. I won't know unless I try. Thanks sir
