I know a lot of our members here have a lot of know how when it comes to home repairs

I am planning on having my cabinets repainted DIY only. I don't want to ask our contractor anymore because he is kinda expensive and normally something else would come up so it always exceeds the budget.

How do you repaint cabinets so that it has a glossy white finish?

    Use glossy white paint

Surface must be well sanded, wood grains must be evened out with filler. Then spray base coat 2x followed by sanding. Pag di pa din pantay spray base coat ulit, sanding ulit. Then 2-3 coats of top coat. Just like in painting cars di ka dapat nagmamadali. All paint coats must be completely dry before you do sanding or apply the next coat. Practice ka muna sa back side ng cabinet door or any scrap wood around. Eto yung mahirap, yung practice. Kaya mahal ang charge ng mga pro kasi alam nila you are more likey to mess it up if you do it yourself. Then they charge you higher when you call them to fix your mess!

If you use a brush ot roller then don't expect to get professional looking results. May nabibili naman na airless paint sprayer, magastos lang nga sa thinner. Meron din sprayer na may sariling air pump, no need for bulky air tanks. Look in olx or ebayph for these.
