The purpose is to record first and secondly to act as deterrent from further aggression. There are exceptions of course but if one will be afraid all the time then society will not progress.

    counter.jpg

This happened Monday. This colorum van was counterflowing somewhere near CCP. I was already running late, so I thought, might as well. I didn't engage the driver or anything, just waited patiently to see what he would do as he couldn't go back to his lane because of the center island.

First photo was him backing up, second was him passing on my right.

Not in photo: the other motorists on my lane getting mad when he was doing this. (Sana hindi ako yung binubusinahan nila haha)

Also not in photo: Black Fortuner behind me who seemed to be "supportive" of what I was doing. It also tried to block the van after it passed me.

(Photos not from a dashcam, but still on-topic hehe)

IIRC, dyan sa road na yan, they put ropes and signage specifically to stop counterflowing vehicles.

So pasaway talaga yang van na yan. Sana binlock ng lahat ng kasalubong nya.

I honestly use a dashcam for personal use only... Maybe I haven't captured anything awesome for YouTube

Yes, I agree its not a weapon and it also cannot protect you.

Problem I can see here is that no one is filing a proper complaint.

How I wish MMDA/LTO would create a website (or email address) where submitting of videos/photos will be easier for the public.

Let's face it, no one will go to a police station/LTO or MMDA office to report another motorist who has caused inconvenience for not following road rules!

Yup, may harang at sign na "No Counterflow". Araw-araw ganyan yung mga van dyan. On a normal day na medyo nagmamadali ako, hinahayaan ko lang sila, katulad nung ibang dumadaan. Eh late na rin nga ako nyan. Kaya ayun. Wala rin naman kasing manghuhuli sa kanila eh kasi walang TE.

more like stupid. i really don't care about the lives of those who do this, buy a dashcam, provoke others and parade their footages and feel empowered. the problem is people who are in high stress scenarios open fire without restriction. malay mo kaman-anak mo na nasa likod ng car na may dashcam na nag-provoke ma-hit ng stray bullet. what will you do then? where's your courage now?

try to profile these people who post dashcam footages over internet, in time, it will become addicting. may bawi yan. and yes I care about his / her loved ones inside car, but not him/her.

people who are capable of this are no different with Deakin and Topgearph, half of it is they enjoy the limelight
