Nice to know you care about other people's safety. For me having footage still helps. If there are cameras everywhere it will still discourage bad behavior.

The reason why there are still counterflowing idiots is the lack of deterrents. We can't count on law enforcement to always be there but we need to do anything we can (safely) to change the status quo. Otherwise these guys won't stop there. If they always get their way, the next time might be deadly for someone.
