smith will be locked up, atty will appeal to higher court, with the turtle pace of the court in th phil. the hype will be covered by another hype and smith might just be send bak to america... and the issue wil just die a natural death.

we all know the atrocities these american soldiers do wherever they go. Even in iraq, several iraqi women were raped by them. There's even a teenager they raped and murdered. So i don't understand why even fellow filipinos defend these rats. Maybe colonial mentality still at work?

The fact that Smith was convicted in the lower court should speak volumes about how the justice system improved. It used to be that these kinds of cases against the Americans did not even prosper before but look at us now. We should congratulate ourselves for this. What is not good to see is how the "opportunist" groups treat this like a fiesta. I mean those accused have their rights too. May they be Filipinos or Americans. I was wondering why Smith's and his co-accused pics are all over the paper all this time.

Well it was a few minutes before their 12mn curfew on Nov 1 2005 so we can't really blame Smith and his buddies. Dapat na lang ipinahatid sa driver ng starex para di naman kawawa yung chick di ba?

Oh well, the process is not yet complete...under court of appeals pa. But I would favor that Smith be kept by US custody in the meantime. Baka ma-rape pa kasi sya sa Makati City Jail ng mga bading or ng mga presong mababading sa kanya dun. He-he

Ito lang ata ang rapist na gumagamit ng CONDOM.

Everybody knows sperm cells contain DNA. Without a condom, a rapist would just set himself for a future conviction. It'll just be a matter of time before you become a suspect and a DNA sample from you would match sperm DNA from the victims. On the other hand, if you don't want to use condoms, you can have a vasectomy. That way, even though you'll leave ejaculate behind, there won't be any sperm to get DNA.
