chip:keep the tips coming guys, dami kong natutunan dito.. subukan ko nga yung magpakulo ng tubig instead of using the heater
ano kaya mas mura...pakulo ka using LPG, or the portable water heater? medyo delikado lang nga ung portable water heater, especially if you buy the real cheap ones

Some cost cutting measures I implemented at home:

    1. Got me a stone stove. We use it a lot now, either with charcoal or dried wood. Did a DIY chimney for it. Probably won't work with people who live in crowded subdivisions, but hey, saves me money on LPG consumption.
    2. Replaced ALL incandescent bulbs with fluorescent bulbls or lamps.
    3. Got rid of third TV. I only have two. Implemented house rules for TV uses.
    4. I recycle/re-use water.
    5. Got rid of my big ref and got a smaller one.
    7. Airconditioner runs between 9pm-3am only. Daytime, I just open the windows and use the electric fan, if necessary.
    8. Cut down on PS2 playing time.
    9. Cut down on DVD watching time.
    10. Told my wife to get rid of her blowdryer. She threw it at me.

Basta appliance na nag-iinit or nagpapalamig, malakas sa kuryente... Kaya minimize ang frequency ng pagpa-plantsa para mabawasan ang reheat-cooldown cycles. More clothes in one session the better...

Avoid storing ice cream. Ice cream requires high setting for your ref to stay frozen. Kaya ubusin kaagad pagka-bili. Hehe.

ako basta status quo kasi i'm earning in greenbucks and spends in petot..kaya meron enough buffer to play around with the budgeting..op cors this is not permanent..i gained a lot of tips from all the posters..

but, hell..i'm still web-searching somewhere..'yong ginawa ng mga hapon, aleman at mga iba pang talunan sa 2nd world war.. how they managed & coped up with their ruined lives in the aftermath of chaos and destruction when their leaders were down on bended knees and called it quits..
