Channel Selection improves kapag tumataas yung Plan na kinukuha. Pinakamababa yung Plan 250 para sa mga subscribers na gusto ng magandang reception video & audio. Kung papapansin nyo ang linaw ng TV5 sa Cignal.

For Plan 1290, you get a lot of HD channels plus SD broadcasts.

Most likely pag dumami ang subscribers, dadami din ang channels.

Pag plano mong mag migrate to LCD TVs but you are stuck with your CRT now, get the Plan 990 & 1290. yung mga HD channels in your CRT will be in widescreen format. But once you go LCD, you can choose between 720p and 1080i

Pag naka-LCD ka na, straight Plan 990 at 1290 ka na dapat.

Ganda ng ESPN HD... ESPN HD Southeast Asia yun. Much better compared to the crappy ESPN Philippines programming seen in other cable service providers hehe

If you availed of 1 box then use the Red-Yellow-White splitter, you can get multiple TVs to have the telecast, downside pare-parehas lang kayo ng pinapanuod.

But if you want multiple TVs with different channel watching at the same time, you need a box per TV, downside dagdag bayad sa outlet fee.

Meron Lease Option where you do not have to pay for the box! Parang ni-re-rent mo lang

    |Planning to subscribe to their HD package in time for a newly bought LCD. But somehow,i'm having second thoughts beacause of these negative feedbacks from their customer service.

Skycable has 6 HD channels sa Metro Manila but i live here in Marcos Highway, ANtipolo. Wala yata HD channel ang Sky pag outside MM.Besides, yung lugar ko wala pa available na sky, need petition from at least 200 households, imagine just 2-3 blocks away lang kami from their box. I have yet to confirm kung affected pati postpaid ng Cignal sa mga interruptions.Pag prepaid daw, dami problema lagi pinuputulan and as soon as you pay, will take 3 days pa daw reconnection.Whew!

Magsawa kayo sa mga Cignal discussions in Filsat.com

    http://filsat.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=40

If you plan to go HD, make sure na postpaid plan. Yung mga dating prepaid 1290 plan, they are unable to view the additional HD channels. They're being forced to convert to postpaid.

Laki na nang improvments in Cignal. I was one of the early adopters, and until now ok pa ang SD390 plan ko. Far better than Dream or GSat. Pero definitely marami pa kailangan i-improve (currently bills payment continues to be the biggest hassle). I've applied for a new HD1290 account, and will have my existing SD390 plan terminated na.

(pero pede daw yun.. hindi lang recommended) 6 connectors kasi dalawa from cignal to abang wires.. tapos from abang to set box 2 uli.. tpos may isa pa eh.. nakalimutan ko kung san nilagay.. >.< hmmm.. mukang 4 lang nga ata ah.. tsk.. sayang 120petot ko dun ah.. hehehe.
FYI pala sa Satellite vs Cable/Aerial connections. They have completely different frequency ranges, and make use of totally different splitters. If you built your house with the "normal" cable TV splitter, hindi pupuwede sa satellite yun. If you have "abang", sana they are all split up in a central, accessible area. You'll need to change your CATV splitter to a satellite splitter (all ports power pass, if available). Malaking problema if your built-in splitter is also in-wall, or in the ceiling.

Puwede rin mag-combine nang satellite and CATV feed into 1 cable run, but you will need diplexers on each end (1 to combine, and the other to split again).

Satellites can get quite technical, and would need real interest if you want to know more. That's why it's treated as a hobby. Magastos sa oras at sa bulsa.
