to be honest,
i do not know which specialty of surgery, or even of medicine, harbors the largest population of 'unscrupulous doctors'.
and i daresay, i probably know more about them than you do.

i must correct the notion, just in case somebody else has a different idea.
not all practitioners of plastic surgery are "qualified" (whatever that means: real rootin-tootin' card-carrying plastic surgeons? GS surgeons? dermas? MDs? etc?) ), if we are to ask the philippine board of plastic surgery.
a number are people who took short course here and there... then brand themselves plastic surgeons...
in the philippines, it's eight years of residency training, to qualify for application to the philippine board of plastic surgery.
pa-graduate na yata yung panganay ng classmate namin, this year...

a "fail" is when the finished product is not what it was intended to look like. "distorted" is just one word to describe to laymen, a "fail".

the first few weeks after surgery, is not a gauge of success.
it takes a while for the edema to subside, the fibrosis to proceed, and the various soft tissues to re-arrange, after which one might evaluate the product.
it is common knowledge in the industry, that the retouched face keeps on evolving thru the years, hence the so-called "5-year fail".

face beautification surgery is a luxury, and is not subject to rules of economics. expect luxury pricing.
even philhealth does not cover for it.
