dinudurog ko skyflakes and hinahalo sa century tuna
pagkain ko ito noon taghirap ako, na miss ko minsan kaya nag stash ako (or kung taghirap ako LOL)

i still enjoy an occasional hunt's pork & beans, from back when we were young and poor-ish.
hey! it's one of the few canned meals that i find best, eaten cold.
once, the missus heated it! ..."it tasted un-good!"
goes well with good pandesal with butter.

I remember, National and then World Boy Scout Jamboree in Mt. Makiling....

All Boy Scouts, including myself, bought canned sardines for the one-week event... Only one of us bought a can of Hunts Pork and Beans....

Our Scout Master could only shake his head in amusement... 😉😊😉

Bro CVT naalala ko camping din namin nung elementary days, bring your own delata to eat. May mga mag presinta na mag cook, may dala ako maling ayun wala ako natikman lintek na yan pinag diskitaan hahaha

Landyo, kung maling nga, titirahin iyan... Iyong pansahog namin sa sardinas, iyong ligaw na camote leaves na nasabat namin sa bundok... Talo na, dahil sangkaterba dala naming bigas...

Subukan mo bro...sa tagaytay meron....nature discovery camp...bring your own tent, pwede overnight...may mga iba talaga all out...as in mala hotel yung tents...

in my day, over half brought hunt's. the rest brought sardines or corned beef (awful eating if straight from the can!).
but unlike today, we didn't have instant cookfires back then. come to think of it, nobody bothered to start a fire, back then.

Pulutan hack namin ito nung college. Minsan sardinas at skyflakes. Pang student budget. Tapos gin na may lime. Yung para haluin ay pagdikitin mo ang dalawang bunganga (opening) ng bote hehe

Very true. After mountaineering, Kaya ko pala ilagay sa isang backpack lahat ng kailangan ko. Shelter, food, clothing, first aid. Basic needs lang. Otherwise sa sakit likod mo sa bigat. Ngayon trimming my pack for lighter content. Not ultra light yet.

Water weight is the worst offender, 1liter is 1kg. In camp or along the trail, water source is a heaven send.

Add to it are the food to be cooked at the camp and utensils.

Same as going to the beach. Makes you realize you can enjoy a new place with just a few things. Nakatsinelas, walang make up, just the bare essentials.

Im using a seeker right now...got got home from sagada a few days ago...did a whole day trek with it....stores all my gopro gear plus a water bladder
