For the people who desperately want and can afford to raise children....ang hirap minsan. For others who cant afford to raise children properly and who already have so many.....ang dali naman. Oh the irony.

But age and father time always extract their toll.

*Cathy, why is your BFF against IVF for religious reasons? Never heard of that before. Thats a new one. Not surprised that with all her strict guidelines, super high standards and hangups, that she is still single.

I went thru a ton of procedures here and eventually had to go to the USA for the procedure that got us our kids. Having kids is such a blessing regardless of how many times you wanna smack the little brats on the head due to frustration hehehehehe.

My advice Cathy is to extract and freeze your eggs na while you still can. Sa huli yung sisihan. In a few years your egg quality will drop like a stone. I dont give 2 sh*ts what your BFF says. Let her live her lonely and barren life since she is so picky. But dont let her influence your ability to insure having future children either.

I found out recently na my unicorn friend doesn't want IVF for religious reasons. I think the other one is the same.

Does the man have to be alone to extract the sperm???

Hard to get into a debate with religious people but for you I can give the same advice as EQ. Have your eggs frozen now. Better to have them and not need them than need them and not have them, I always say. And once you get past the age threshold, you are setting yourself up to fail if you still want to have children. There are just too many risks in having children late.

IMHO being a good parent begins even before conception. You want your future child to be as healthy as possible. To do that, the parents' bodies have to be healthy. We can't do much with pollution but we should do what we can on the things we have control over. Diet, exercise, managing stress, having kids at the right age, etc. Our OB is one of (if not the best) fertility doctors in the country and she also says the same. Age is a major factor.

If i recall correctly around 250-300k per cycle/attempt here for ivf.

Maybe half that or less for egg retrieval and storage.

ako parang waste yun family na say tatlo ang anak, tapos carbon copy ng magulang yun katabaan at ka-sloppiness at ugali at kumilos. it's like isang bruce wayne like ninja lang makatapat ng tatlong anak, tumba na kagad yun tatlo. what a waste of resources.

I cringe whenever I see my friends now eating out in FB, having 2-3 chrildren tapos ang direction nila eh maging overweight/obese sa future. well i cant blame them, I know their dads / moms kasi eh, lagi gusto pasarap sa buhay even nun college kami.

that's why para sakin ang pag-aanak is not trying to mold a new human in this world para lang walang silbe at mag-consume ng consume. tapos reklamador sa gobyerno at sa life, na the world owes soemthing to them

someday, pag hinde pa ako nagkaanak, I'm gonna find a powerful looking girl, seduce her, then leave her, then Im gonna monitor my son/daughter secretly, leaving a big portion of my money for him/her in a trust fund. pero he/she will be guided along the way to become more powerful than me. mayaman, fit, smart, doesnt not take crap for anybody, and best of all, non-conformist. yun mga SM family nga me term dito eh, contrarians. yun dapat! not this babyish world that we live in with overprotective parents na obvious naman they treat their kids as ownerships.

hinde naman, I need to them to exist so that people like me can do someting else. for example, in the car threads I campaign for the toyota fortuner eh kasi yan ang magpapataas ng credit rating natin and as as a result it will low interest rates for me, pag I need cash flow. I need conformists / regular / commoner thinking people so that few can think differently.

kung misan lang naka-discourage coz parang wala na ata ako makikita katulad ko, sa Gotham na lang si Bruce Wayne ganun

eh kita mo naman kuya big diba, isang great man ang na-produce. for me great men are people asked by God to assume the villain role so that the world can continue living coz they have a common enemy. somehow naisep ko it's the greatest sacrifice one person can ever do, instead of all the do-gooders, self-righteous people out there.

case in point, our Dear Mypres. he is antagonistic, it works. isa sya movers and shakers. I admire like that. hindi yun mga pa-goody goody, na clean record, sobra mabait kuno.

kaya nga siguro pag TV series, ang gusto ko character si Bruce Wayne. pero sa DC Universe ang gusto ko character si Joker. they're so true to who they are, they're so lodi
