I have an FB account pero minsan di mo maiwasan mainis sa mga post ng friends mo na super SC.

Meron nga ako kilala mayaman na nga pero SC pa din, as in haba ng post sa FB telling everyone ano mga property, ano mga napuntahan etc.

SC pa ba yun or Mayabang na talaga.

People who still want to prove themselves and shout out to the world that they are now at a higher status in life. The people I know that were born moneyed are the most humble I know of.

    Yeah OT na.
Ganito na lang. Share your own experience na related sa thread. I'll start.

Bought a nice set of tires worth 5.6K each (Bridgestone) before, sa ngayon, cannot maintain the brand, so i'll temporarily switch to Westlake.
Bought a new set of seatbelts then after a week, I don't have sufficient dough to pay for the electricity. Thank God, somebody seek my assistance and in return, paid me an amount which covers half of the electric bill.

On a related note to this, there is still some distinction in paying more for value:
    - I'd usually buy a branded tire, even if it's a more expensive one, because i expect more returns in terms of safety and longevity as against a cheaper tire.
    - I would choose to buy a more expensive, branded pair of shoes (at least the tried and tested brand) as i can use this for many, many years to come. My wife on the other hand used to have a practice of buying cheap shoes for her day-to-day needs and i noticed we end up buying 2-3 replacement pairs in a year or so. Same goes with the handbags.
    - With home items (i.e. plumbing items and fittings, etc.), i've also learned to go for some of the pricier fittings as they last longer and saves me PPP in the long run.

We're not talking of the most expensive items but at least ones that give you good value for money, and are tried and tested. The bottomline is, know also where and when to spend for the better things.

I assume we all had our own share. isa na ako dyan magpakatotoo lang.

2 months after graduation i found a job, walang ipon ipon waldas ika nga.

nagkayayaan barkada mag boracay, ubos biyaya.

friends asked me whaht happened to my phone, told them nabasa kaya nasira.

pinalitan ko ng cheap nokia na for call and text lang.

at first sige swipe lang, bili at kain kung saan saan. Then i got lost managing my finances. Thankfully na settle ko na lahat.

Now isa na lang card ginagamit ko. Hindi masama ang CC, at the end of the day nasa tao pa rin yan. DISIPLINA.

Weighing the pros and cons ng CC, for me mas malaki ang advantages ng may CC.

I'm not fond of carrying huge bills in my wallet/bag. Sa panahon ngayon nakakatakot.

but then again.... there are debit cards.....
    i'm using a mastercard debit.

Most of the time I use debit card..ung CC last resort ko lang yan like paying gas

during my younger years.. naaprubahan ako sa cc.. got lost control swipe dito swipe doon..libre dito libre doon.. pag dating ng bills kahit 1/4 ng total bills di ko mabayaran after that natuto ako

tama naman majority ng post dito eh ..pag first hand experience gagawin mo lahat ng gusto mo until such time na malugmok ka sa utang bago ka magbabago

pero I think "ung experience na ganito" hindi applicable sa mga rich coz they have resources

I would classify old rich by at least 4 generations. Money should have been made by the great grandparents at the minimum.

If money was made by the parents or lolo pa lang may trace pa ng nouveau characteristics I would suppose. Eg Pacquiao 1st gen rich, pag dating sa apo sa tuhod ni pacquiao, assuming they maintain their status, sophisticated at wala na trace ng nouveau characteristics yan.

    To answer that.

Hehe. Under the parameters of C4U sa pag-classify ng "Old Rich", pwede na pala akong i-classify as "Old Poor"

AFAIR, Si Packy was denied membership sa Manila Polo Club because he's just "new rich".
