Tapos to compound that disparity ay limited pa Ang number Ng specific specialists Dito sa atin.

I know a friend of a friend na may brain tumor, hindi sya kaya operation sa private hospital kaya PGH sya naka pila. More than a year na yata sya naghihintay for surgery, according to his friend parang 2 lang yata brain surgeon ng public hospital Sa buong Pinas? I don't know if this is true though.

perhaps several decades ago. i knew four of them, and the other one by name.
but today, i do not have enough fingers to count our graduates of NSS.
there are definitely much more than only two neurosurgeons in the country, po.
and there are several government hospitals that have neurosurgeons among their staff, who operate regularly on charity patients and paying patients.
there is probably another reason why your friend's patient hasn't been operated on, yet.

They just feel that oras lang nila importante.

Anong emergency pinagsasabi nila?

Na de-delay sa rounds? Mag rounds sila ng 6am-12noon then mag lunch break sila tapos mag clinic sila ng 3-6pm.

Wala naman pupuntahan yun mga naka confine kahit anong oras sila mag rounds doon. Kahit after office hours na pag tapos na clinic nila.

Maraming hospital nag rounds? Mag allot sila ng oras for traffic the same with several clinics nila? Huwag nila ipilit na 2 clinics nila pupuntahan gawin nila every other day ang punta nila for each clinics.

    Lokohin nila meon emergency.

I know of a doctor who is notoriously late sa clinic hours niya even if she lives near the hospital. So her clinic hours would overlap with the ones after her. She's the same one na sasabihin na kelangan mag CS kahit pwedeng normal delivery.

Aside from that, there's also the issue of the brain drain phenomena where our skilled professionals seek better opportunities and training overseas... Come to think of it, you can't blame them naman din.

Nakaka irita yung trend ngayon sa social media na people taking pics of their Starbucks drink with "Will you be my Valentine" etc etc

Sorry, but I find it so tacky. I can't even imagine how you would ask the Barista to write those long messages sa cup and then post it pa on FB GROUPS with thousands of members.
