They killed all termite colonies in my parents house in QC which no other exterminator could get rid of. They are also maintaining our current house. Effective and dependable. Not cheap, but worth every centavo.

Nope...look for pest control who carry baiting systems from the likes of Sentricon & Exterra.
The old way of exterminating on areas infested(intrusive & very damaging) won't totally eliminate the culprit colony.
If you wanna DIY, try this non-repellent Premise Foam by Bayer. The termites won't know what hit them.

February 28th, 2023 12:08 PM #57Correct. The problem with old fashion liquid and powder treatments is that they only kill on contact, which does not reach the queen. On the other hand, the theory is that baits are slower acting. So the workers will carry to, and feed the poison to the queen, therefore disabling the entire colony. This works even on colonies which are hidden deep underneath the house. But don't take my word for it. Ask for a site visit and estimate, then ask a lot of questions.
Hybrid is the way to go. So you don't rely heavily on the batteries.
