September 16th, 2008 05:51 PM #3totoo ba ito na 52miles per gallon sya?
so kung ganun ito ang computations:
Mile = Kilometer
1 = 1.609344
gal = liters
1 = 3.785
52miles * 1.609kms = 83.668 kms
divide by 3.785liters / per gallon
= 22.15 kms/liter?
hmmm...baka gimick na naman ito ni mazda..sabi nila sa Mazda 3 10 to 11kms per liter..utot nila.. di nga umabot ng 9 e

all manufacturers state their claim based on standard government testing....like the 10-15Mode in Japan.... wherein the both the 1.3CVT Jazz & Mazda 2 gets a claimed 24km/li....(so ur calculation seems a little off?) but for most people their real-world fuel efficiency is only about half that....
many things that needs to be accounted for are:
1. vehicle condition.
2. driving style.
3. road condition.
4. traffic condition.
5. test speed.
6. load condition (not just passenger count, but also is A/C on or not?).
