Hold button automatically shifts you down 1 gear and limits it to that gear.. say nasa D ka tapos 4th gear na..pushing the hold button shifts you instantly to 3rd. Good for overtaking lang ito or kailangan mo ng engine break. wag mo lang abusuhin at masisira transmission mo

in addition dun sa sinabi ni sir kenkoyski...

the hold button also works for S and L

    hehe. semi-sport mode kumbaga

Yun pala pwede I thought only D gear shift lang kapag nagoovertake kasi ako gamit ko is 'S' then balik sa 'D'.

pag nagmamadali ako and i need to weave through traffic, i keep it at S tapos use the Hold button once in a while to overtake.. means 3 and 2nd gear lang gamit ko.

same tayo ng gamit sir, always 'S' gamit ko sa traffic but not pressing 'Hold', masubukan nga at makaranas ulit ng ganitong pakiramdam .

Pero kapag bumper to bumper traffic gamit ko lang is "L".

    Hello everyone!

I was looking for informative threads on M2's by owners themselves. So far ito ang nakikita ko. I got mine only six days ago, 1.5 sedan manual. Initial observations are that there is a lag from 1st to 2nd gear. Then parang mahina ang hatak niya from 2nd to 3rd. Pero once it goes fast, it really is a peppy engine. Parang gusto parating naka apak ang gas pedal. Malakas bumirit from 3rd up to 5th. I also feel the road more– I mean the bumps. Perhaps it has something to do with M2's lightweight body and 55 series tires.

Maybe also nag aadjust pa ako. For so long I've been driving an old lifted Pajero with big tires. So i rarely feel the road and I always hear its throaty carburated engine. With the M2, it's all quiet. Hindi ko naririnig ang makina.

Before deciding to buy this, my wife and I test drove a Ford Fiesta and a Toyota Vios. We also looked at the Honda City, Hyundai Getz, and Toyota Avanza. What made us decide on the M2 is simply the availability of the dual airbags– which compared to the other brands' SAME price range models, are not available for both driver and passenger.

Difference of opinion makes the world a colorful place. And for my opinion, the Vios is just all over the place. The City, while the rear design is great, the front looks like a sleepy, long-snouted fish. The Getz is cute and a design classic, but my wife hates it. The Fiesta is all hype. For me it's the ugly, halfbred twin of the M2.

My M2 might not be perfect, but for me it serves its purpose of going from point A to B with peace of mind and a little bit of style. And yes, the smiley front faschia cheers me up every time.

Happy and safe driving to my fellow M2 owners!

now, i tried looking for that particular tire brand (Dunlop sport s230 ata) kaso walang stock sa lahat ng tireshops.. kahit sa casa and mismmong dunlop wala daw.. january padaw magkakaron as per Dunlop. 6100 isa!

Ang stock wheels (na may plastic cover) are actually stronger but heavier (Ito yung spare tire/wheel). Ang steel wheels kasi hindi nabibiyak, most of the time nabibingkong lang ito, which puedeng ma-repair to regain its original radius. More pliable 'ika nga.

Airween, when buying tires always check for the date of manufacture (usually it's a recognizable set of numbers showing month/year. If not, it's a code). Noong ignorant pa ako, I was sold a nearly 8 year old tire. It was an old inventory. After just a few weeks, I had a blowout.

Bridgestone and Yokohama are very good brands. The P6thou casa price is obviously marked up way too high. Usually naman safe bumili sa mga small tire shops, as long as you are well-informed of the tire specs necessary for your car (speed rating, tread type, etc.) and marunong kang mambusisi ng ipapakita sa iyo.

Feel your steering now that nadaan ka sa malalim na pothole. I read somewhere in this thread about problems with steering alignment.

(PS: thanks for the warm welcome guys!)

:fire:. Kanina umaga wala yun before umalis ng bahay.
