October 19th, 2013 02:28 AM #1251Test drove the CX-5 yesterday afternoon at Mazda GH. Both 4x2 A/T and AWD. The i-Stop is a big help in improving the FC during traffic jams. For me, the power difference of the 2.0 and 2.5 SkyActiv-G engines is negligible. They have almost have the same power in real world conditions. But the AWD variant won me over because of the RVM system and bi-Xenon headlamps. The RVM system is the blind spot sensing system. Pag medyo malapit and mabilia yung sasakyang tatama sa gilid, aside from blinking on the side mirror, tutunog din. Riding comfort is also good, better than the Jazz that it might replace in our garage.

October 25th, 2013 01:30 PM #1257I wonder what type of fuel octane they used during the experiment. I'm currently using Petron XCS 95 octane, switch to Petron Xtra Advance 93 octane but noticed a bit of power loss so I switch back to XCS 95 octane. I'm due for fill-up next week and want to try Shell fuel save 91 octane since this was the fuel used when I picked up the unit in the dealer and was told to use only 91 octane since that was how the skyactiv was designed. Though the manual said 91 to 95 octane. So was it the 91 octane that was used on the experiment??

Based on their pics it looks like they used Fuelsave. Still waiting for the full article from AutoIndustriya.
