The Red Top model sells for P 15,400 while the Yellow Top for P 17,600. Recommended for Mazda 6 is the Yellow Top. Pricing in the US on Optima's website is $232 and $271 respectively. The local supplier is Allen Specialty Products along Tomas Morato. I didn't ask if they install and ensure the car's settings are maintained. At least there is an option and not locked into one brand or the casa. Let me know if any have tried an AGM battery in the Philippines and how well adapted it is for tropical use. Thanks.
Go for Optima...its a Spiral Cell Technology AGM Batt....for iStop Skyactivs, check YellowTop D35 SKU: 8040-218.
Ask for the freshest stock. I've seen them here.....But due to price, inventory doesn't move much. Warranty is 36mos in the US for non-commercial light vehicles.
The length should fit the batt tray w/o the OE protective case. Here are the comparative dimensions:
    Optima D35: W=171.45mm L=238.25mm H=195.33mm
    Stock Q85 EFB: W=173㎜ L=222㎜ H=202

Is that a battery charger/conditioner? Can you pre-charge those like a powerbank and keep them in the car for emergencies? Thanks!

May I know where you got these and for how much? I am looking for a portable charger myself.

Unfortunately, walang Nocos dito sa pinas.

Look into CTEK. If yours has the Start/Stop system, grab the CTEK CT5 Start/Stop. Available in Lazada.

I’ve heard good reviews on CTEK. Can the CTEK CT5 be charged like a powerbank?

Nope, CT5 is a car batt trickle charger. The Antigravity MicroStart XP1 shown above is a sample of what you're looking for. Emergency power bank for car jumpstarting & laptop/smartphone charging.

Yup a battery charger, trickle charger, stanby (can keep a car's eletronics on, while swapping out a battery)...but it's all 220V plug-in. * Can do Wet, AGM, motorbike, passenger cars, all the way to 24V truck batteries. IIRC it was around 5k at Ace Hardware

reliable naman siguro ang Mazda service centers since may Yojin-3 (plan to service at Mazda Cavite)?

wala namang horror stories? (parts not replaced; stolen items; ginawang driving school; to name a few )

    Due diligence lang naman yan:
    - check your mileage before you hand over the keys
    - do not leave valuables inside
    - scrutinize their pre-service checklist before signing it
    - make sure you understand the service order before signing it
    - watch over your car while it's being serviced
    - do a once-over of your car for damage or missing trim pieces (especially the rubber parts in the inside door grabs) before leaving

    Trust but verify.

AFAIK, I don't think they allow you to watch over your car while it's being serviced.

I wasn't able to watch over my M3 when it was serviced at Mazda Makati. Perhaps with other branches they allow it.

Other dealerships have the service bays visible from the lounge.

Pasig has its PMS areas across the service advisors' desks. You can watch through glass windows.

The Mazda North EDSA branch service bay area is very accessible. Saw the place, quite small though.

I remember someone posted at the Mazda M3 thread a picture of the M3 undergoing the scheduled service at that casa. I'm planning to have my M3 serviced over there for the 1st 6 mo pms instead of going to Makati.

Marami ngang good feedback sa North EDSA branch. Too far for me though. Makati is fairly new and I have a loyalty card with the ANC group so I'll be visiting them until that's finished (or they eff up whichever comes first ).

South? Notorious talaga Alabang kahit anong brand di ko lang alam bakit. Try Sta Rosa.
