Hi guys matagal na ako dito reading sa tsikot pero ngayon ko lang nalaman ang haba pala ng B2200/2500 mazda thread.I'm from Mindanao pero i was out of the country na in KSA, I have a B2200 94 model pero daming na Modify na and experience ko with this pick-up i had a peace of mind when years ago changed my engine to Nissan TD27.Naransan ko lahat talaga ng complains niyo rin about this pick-up especially with its unreliable R2 and RF engine di kasi maganda ang cooling system ng engine nato pero one thing to improve I made before was changed the radiator to a bigger one 3 rows ata yun.Changed my hydrovac with that of pajero to improve brake, noong nasira ang differential changed with that of kia besta.I still luv this truck parin and paayos ko narin sa pinas ang chassis niya grabe na kasi ang kalawang pati bed.I'm happy na buhay na buhay ang thread nato especially securing hard to find parts ni,its really a great help having this thread.

    Hi guys!

I have been stalking on this forum for quite some time now, and its time I joined it. Anywhoo, I have a b2500 thats been on repair for nearly a month. It's been hit badly by a jeepney, but fortunately the owner paid me. So now, I'm off to having it fixed, the whole body will be coated black, it will have a body lift of about 2", and a set of 31" swampers. I wanted to have a solid axle swap for it to go off road, but when I canvassed, it would probably took me atleast a 100k minimum for all the differential, re-gear, spacers, coil springs and all. Right now, I'm just waiting for the lift to finish(probably next week), then right after that, It will go under the hands of the painter.

So much for an introduction.. anyway, I wanted to ask what the RFW lock is for? cause when I bought this truck, the button was already unusable, but the weird thing is I could switch the thing to 4WD. Is there anything that I should know about this? would this destroy anything?

Thanks everyone! I'm hoping to join an EB when my truck's complete already

    Dear Sir:

    Welcome to our thread.

Sorry to hear about your close encounter with the jeep, buti na lang binayaran ka!

I take it that your B2500 is an original 4WD?

Then according to the manual you should have 2 shift levers, is this so?

There are definitely a lot of buttons on the console but on the 2WS they are all BLANK.

I remember when we took an old Land Cruiser off-road, we had to get down go to each front axle and twist a knob there to lock the thing into 4-wheel drive.

Having electronic buttons for doing so is a big help.

Will search for my manual again to be definite.

    Best Regards,

    Dusky Lim

    Thanks dusky!

Yes, my B2500 is an original 4WD, and yup I do have two shift gears. Thats what people have been telling me, maybe it was for the front axle to switch it to 4WD. But when I got to a lift hydraulic and tried to switch the gear into 4WD without the use of that button, the rear wheels still turned!

Doing some research, I found out a forum about ford rangers, and they said it was for differential locking, that if the switch is on, the two wheels at the back will run simultaneously, but when off, it will run independently just like any 4WD.

Oh BTW, since the last page was on side mirrors, do you guys know where to buy one? cause my mirrors are just plain mirrors, not those of a wide angle. I asked in banawe but the people there gave me a ridiculous price of 12k each! (orig DAW) Hirap tumingin kasi sa kanan when you have just replacement mirrors, and not the wide angle ones.

P.S sayang, hindi ako makakasama sa EB, she's still under repair..

    Dear Sir:

Am still looking for the manual to confirm the use and placement of the levers and buttons on the 4WD.

As to the side mirrors, hindi wide-angle ang mga mirror ko, just plain ones, the one's that have wide angle views are on my dad's Toyota Hi-Lux - front passenger side.

But if you are looking for original side mirrors, have a friend (na nakaka-sindak ang itsura at malaki ang katawan) come with you and go along Banawe st, (on the Quezon Blvd Ext - E. Rodriguez side) SLOWLY.

Look for the guys who sell second-hand 'retrieved' parts - yung mga na-laglag daw sa likod ng truck).

Once you have a deal he will ask you to go to the back area of Banawe - near Araneta Ave.

Dun yung mga GSM na piyesa (galing sa ...).

The last time I parked in Banawe sa alanganin na lugar, both my side mirrors were stolen.

Pero nakabili ako ng pareho na modelo duon sa likod ng Banawe.

They might have been mine but they were much nicer than I remember kaya siguro galing sa ibang sasakyan na mas ma-alaga kaysa akin yung may ari.

Nowadays I can only guess at the price - maybe around 1k for the pair.

    Regards,

    Dusky Lim

PS - OK lang kahit wala kang dalang Mazda, just attend!

    * vanich

astig yun hydrovac mo. galing sa pajero, never thought na pwede pa yun sa pajero, just replace my hydrovac, it's a toyota LC80 from land cruiser, i haven't tried it yet sa byahe since nasanay ako sa less braking driving dahil sa trapik dito sa pinas. why less braking? mahina na hatak ng engine kahit bitawan ko lang yun accelerator eh nagbbrake na sya. hehehe.

    * pigface

astig yun name mo, mahilig kaba sa Greyhounds? back to college days may song ang Greyhounds na Mr. PIG..hehehe..as sir dusky pwede naman pumnta kahit wala yun truck. bonding, kwentuhan at don't worry walang laitan ng sasakyan ang nangyayari samin

were just having fun with our rides and share ....

    Dear Sir:

Welcome to our thread, please attend the coming EB.

Sir, di bale kung hindi 100% and pickup mo ayos lang, walang laitan dito.

If its not ready to be driven to Manila yet, then magdala ka ng kahit anong sasakyan, ok lang.

    Regards,

    Dusky Lim

PS - Vanich - tungkol sa speedometer cable, try calling Fordmaster, or Fordland, kung wala sila, malamang pahirapan mag-hanap
